Not toxic at all. Realistic. Also in case you missed it, he already owns a competitor to her business, in secret, that will eventually swallow her company. But he couldn't say anything because of the complexities with his board and his sister/cousin. That's why he was so against it initially. And just as he expected, later on the two companies have to merge and FL misunderstands and they do the typical break up before they inevitably get back together.
