I don't get why you're saying Nueng is weak. Palm might be much stronger but Nueng is not weak. His story is based…
I agree that Palm isn't the usual jock/athletic guys in BLs who seems to be invincible. Whenever I watch the fight scenes for the "invincible" guy, I was chill and know that they will survive. But whenever it's Palm in fight scenes (ep2&3), I was at the edge of my seat because he looks like he's going to be stabbed anytime and will not survive. Like, he's just a fisherman? I get that they also need to do manual work but it doesn't mean he's strong enough to manhandle someone, let alone an armed person wit a knife. Those stereotypical jocks usually is a member of rugby or football, or does fencing or wrestling. Idk. But never fishermen.
Damn, I am kinda getting bored. Ben is such an annoying little prick, a red flag has never screamed so loud. He…
Palm might have seen and followed Nueng as usual (like when they fled from the Father's Day event), but I don't know how the teached got in that hiding spot. π
Neungs' feelings : So simply put I get the feeling that Neung never really got close friends. When Ben approached…
This is a great analysis. I watched EP1 of NLMG without any knowledge about the plot at all. But during ep2, I watched the 2 trailers (the plot and the official one), and I was like, "Oh, sh*it! There's Ben. " after I saw in the trailer that they were holding hands with Palm following close behind. So I had a thought that BenNueng might actually happen before we get to PalmNueng.
Your first scenario is what I am guessing too since Nueng might have been overwhelmed with Ben's friendship which he didn't experience before.
In term's of Ben's character, it is a bit sus. It was showm before that he actually had eyes for Nueng even before but didn't take any action until after ND's dad died. But to give him the benefit of the doubt, and he is actually nice and innocent with no ulterior motive towards ND, why is he pushing Palm away from ND? (that scene where he said Neung doesn't need bodyguards etc.)
There's also a reason why Palm and ND went hidding in the province. (Based on the trailer, they fell in love there ???) Most likely because of the mafia but there might be something else.
You know what I'm waiting for the most in this series? I want Palm and Nueng to fell in love and I want to see…
Waiting for that too. Though, BenNueng may or may not happen first before PalmNueng based on the first teaser. But I agree with you, I also want to see Chanon soul leave his body when he finds out. π€£
Sorry Chimon, I love you but Ben is starting to get on my nerves. Boy's shady AF.
I love tonight's episode. The relationship between Nueng and Palm is starting to develop. Especially that scene in the dance. Nuengdiao looked "jealous" when Palm danced with Mackie. But then again, that jealousy can be caused when you see your close friend hanging out with someone else, but you want to keep that friend to yourself. So it may not necessarily mean he is already in love. Regardless, it is still a progress. They are getting comfortable with each other.
Pond is starting to get comfy too. I felt bad for him when Ben and Chopper brought up the topic of him being Nueng's "servant". Ben's tone seems like he is mocking him. And don't get me started with Chopper's dad who is a jackas$.
((Special mention to Pond's acting. Love his scenes during the shooting practice. It's like he was made to hold a gun. He looked natural. Thank God the guns doesn't sound plastic-y just like on ep1. I also like the last scene when he was punching the hell out of Phum. He looked like a different person there.))
Looking forward to the next EP. It looked exciting.
Okay, I just discovered this show today and finished until the latest ep (9) but I was shocked to see it'll only have 10 eps πππ I am in the PondPhuwin rabbithole and I can't get enough.
I put this on hold after the first episode. Now that I don't have any other BL series to watch, I decidedto pick it up. But that particular scene (the "SA in the restroon" scene) in ep2 doesn't sit well with me. Is there going to be a caharacter development with Payu or is he still gonna harrass the hell out of Rain? I'm uncomfortable seeing SA between characters.
(Please recommend other BL series too! From any country)
I hope companies stop casting good looking actors but with mediocre acting skills. Seriously. I don't know if J-BLs just set the bar high with their previous releases or this particular one is just worst.
I find this week's episode cute and entertaining. Phuwin's acting is amazing. I think Pond's character is meant to be shy and awkward around Neung since they have a kinda "boss-employee" relationship and Palm might have probably been told by his father since childhood that they need to pay respect to Neung's family or whatever so that's why he acts around like that.
Also I am still a bothered that Tanya entrusts his son to a fish village boy who is actually also in high school.
I've never seen the two leads' previous series, but checking the comments here, it is Fish Upon the Sky (???) Is it a good watch while waiting for the next episode?
Anyway, since it's my first time seeing them, imo, the Nueng guy (Phuwin) is a decent actor but Palm (Pond) needs a little catching up because he sometimes looks very stiff in some of the scene. Idk if it's just really his character.
And the fact that Nueng was hostile with Palm for no reason then proceeded to ask for friendship is kinda weird.
I loved the part when you said you weren't aware about Tinn's secret crush on Gun! So cute lol and here people…
I watched the series not knowing anything at all (except that it is a HS drama)! π€£π€£π€£ If I didn't read the synopsis, maybe I'll wonder the entire time why Tinn was secretly helping the band when he was always acting strict against them.
I also love the show and the couple! π Is there other pairing in this show too?
I was skeptical to watch this at first because, ugh, another high school BL in their little blue shorts again. But I still gave it a try because I have nothing to watch. And man, EP1 was amazing!
I want MORE!! Acting is okay, considering most of them are new (I guess? never seen them before). Chemistry is *chef's kiss*. I'm just a little annoyed with the excessive SFX every now and then.
Half-way through the ep, I opened MDL to add it to my list (in case I forget) and then I learned from the synopsis that Tinn already has a little crush on Gun ever since so I was kinda spoiled a bit and I kept thinking througout the EP that Tinn is just a tsundere or something, and I even thought he was an a$$h0le for not giving the garland points to Chinzhilla who obviously played well. But the last scene. OH. MY. GOSH
[SPOILER] Tinn was so cute. He was secretly helping the Music Club. And even promoted them during the contest. It made me smile like crazy again. That scene was amazing.
Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm gonna wait for all EPs to air to binge-watch or shall I watch it aseach EP airs.
Kim Jiwoong is such a great actor. When he acted cold towards SJY, I also felt it as an audience and gave me chills. I hope to see more of his work soon. (Plus he looks a bit like Yeonjun of TXT on some angles... or is it just me?)
Yoon Seobin'a acting lacks compared to KJW. But I can see that he's trying. His drunk monologue gave me secondhand embarassment. Although I hope he gets more experience so he can become a better actor.
Plot-wise, this series is not bad. I've been dropping a lot of BL dramas left and right lately as there's been a lot of sh1tty dramas popping up with no plot PLUS has a bad acting. I see poor acting, I'd immediately drop it even in the 1st episode. I'd say this is an okay drama (for me), considering I made it to the 6th episode.

There are some overly used clichΓ© scenes (like the slip-n-catch scene during their PE class). It made me roll my eyes due to annoyance but I found myself smiling widely right after (correction: smiling like crazy).
