i got so invested
i cried multiple times. got super invested. i wish i could go in there and finish that 'mother' with my own hands. phenomenal actress - i feel so much hatred on her character i normally dont feel like this. for someone like me who is so allergic to love triangle, i take it with ease. i know it might smell strong like love triangle but it is really not. this drama deserves multiple times of rewatch. ps. i gained weight cause every time Li dad cooks, i get so hungry i need to fetch something to eat.Was this review helpful to you?

could have been wrapped into 2-hr movie
- spoiler of minor character death -first i admit i watch it bcs of yooyeonseok. turns out the show is very enjoyable but not great. some unbelievable scenes and many confusing dialogues due to huge accent - i had to rely on subtitles mostly when they communicated in english.
however i enjoyed it really much. heroes are likeable and villains are satisfying - the main villain is intense and quite edgy. yooyeonseok as david doesn't suit him that much. he is talented but the role is a bit strangely/badly designed. he got shot to gruesome death also :( but ok i kinda saw it coming.
there's a surpise reveal which is the main hilight of the last few episodes. they got me there - i didnt see that coming. anyway it could easily have been made into a good 2-hr-ish movie. this was a bit too long drawn with some boring moments.
solid 8.5/10 - highly rec for those who like clever and exciting crime/action shows

Remove your brain and enjoy
Enjoyable!Don't forget to remove your brain before jumping in. Good for viewers who want to sit back, relax, and be entertained by romance full of visuals and chemistry.

PS. FL reminds me a bit of Jang Nara. I didn't find ML good looking at first but he grew on me eventually.

Rewatching on NF
Rewatching this on NF in 2025 and still hooked as before! In my opinion, the drama has one of the highest rewatch value. Everything is just almost perfect. I miss seeing SKJ in this type of roles. I wish he would consider something like this again as he has now come back from the army. In my eyes, his potential and face card is S+ tier.Was this review helpful to you?
Here for the romance & chemistry
Its a random watch for me. I saw ML from a fireman drama and I thought, hmm he has potential - lets see how he does here. And well, he does not disappoint :DI honestly skipped many scenes as I am not into this field of work/business. However, i am so impressed with the romance part; the couple story line, the progress and development, all the peak scenes - they are very well executed! Huge applaud for the leads and the director.
A must for viewers who are into leads' chemistry and realistic + emotional kiss scenes. They have so many kiss scenes i felt like they should get married irl at one point haha

I took 0.5 out of the overall rating because there was no real OST?? i wish they could give me a few beautiful OSTs that could listen to every night and cry even more.

As a general viewer & As a shipper
As a general viewer:This drama is not flawless, but I can hardly pay attention to any flaws because the casts and the production are AMAZING. It is the first c-drama that managed to pull me away from k-drama land. It is THAT AMAZING. Romcom with the right amount of angst. No long dragging misunderstanding / love triangle. OTP being 'us against the world' most of the time. I know people dislike the soundtracks but I think some of them are good. Overall score 9.5 but what I really meant was 9.95 - almost very very close to perfection!

the precious drama that means so much to both leads esp bailu my lovely girl.
wonder if yunlu ever thought of coming this far since the day they said yes to their roles.
nobody can survive this ship srsly its either we successfully sail to the happily ever after land or we go down with the ship (in case it sinks - BUT IT WONT). YUNLU 3RD DRAMA WHEN!?
