romance aside, hyunjin and neighbor guy were both crazy for forcing ml to make up with his dad. like you're telling me she knew that the dad abandoned the ml when he was EIGHT, not even when he was 15 or something, and still went, "that's your dad though?" hopefully there's an apology next ep. i genuinely hate people interfering in abusive family situations trying to get people to forgive the abuser. that was soo cruel of her.

ALSO i feel like you guys don't get that she's only known the ml for a month or maybe two at this point? and she's had a crush on the sml for seven years. and the guy she's liked for that long just told her he likes her too, of course she has to evaluate for some time. the main problem is that the drama is only 12 eps, so the timeline makes zero sense. with the number of episodes there are, the sml situation should have been wrapped up instead of just *beginning* at ep 8, that's absolutely ridiculous. they need at least 16-20 eps to salvage the relationship with ml, unless it's going to end as them just starting to date in the last ep. i'd prefer more eps with an established relationship ending, but oh well.

there's more hate towards fls with multiple love interests than there is towards serial killers it's so funny to me. everyone is always "if the roles were reversed everyone would hate the ml!!" and no... absolutely no one would hate the ml if the roles were reversed? people love the serial killer ml in bloody flower and hate the lawyer fl for doing her JOB and people love the abusive sml from to my beloved thief. you guys are fighting delusions.

i actually like dramas where the fl is actually into the sml, like it's far more preferable to the dramas where the sml is portrayed as a weirdo stalker and the fl is constantly in predatory situations (ex would you marry me). though no love triangle is the best situation out of all of them

i had to laugh in ep 29 when huaijin said peiyi isn't the type of person to kill someone and still sleep at night, she's killed 579467 henchmen and low level thugs in front of him and slept just fine?? she killed the hundred bodyguards the right chancellor brought with him? what's one more body going to do? and then he said he stopped her so they could clear her father's name in a court of law, and that doesn't make sense either, bc as we've seen, the emperor literally does not gaf and will always protect the status quo. he burned the list of sex traffickers in FRONT of huaijin bc his son was on it, like i genuinely do not see what he sees. really, the only actual reason i see to stop peiyi is that the emperor would kill HER for attacking his right chancellor, but xhj was just saying anything.
