I only finished episode 3 so far, but my impression so far is he loved his wife because she was his family (pretty sure I remember someone saying their marriage was arranged) but it seemed to me it didn't go much beyond that. In backstory them together went beyond bickering she pretty much acted like she despised him. That might have just been because of how he treated their son, not sure, but anyway I'm seeing all the potential with FL, maybe there will be a betrayal by 2FL or something to plot twist her character, I think him being torn between the two will be a major focus from here on out. The story and characters are so deep detailed and complex that's the best I've got at this point

Also The One and Only is amazing too

Fantasy/supernatural generally isn't my genre, but I'm absolutely loving this. It's a must watch for sure and way underrated.

MDL algorithm usually brings the rating down a lot shortly after the premier...then it usually ends up going up again. But I do think there are people rating this low who just don't get it, it looks like someone rated episode 3 super low probably because a lot of scenes were missing subs. Ridiculous

What troll is going around rating episodes super low? Every episode has been a 10/10. I hate it when amazing shows get underrated.

Same this is my favorite kind of drama, ones that are emotional with a poetic feel. Kinda reminds me of When The Weather is Fine apart from the slice of life difference.

I was obsessed with this show when it first started, but ever since episode 11 when he started becoming king it changed. The plot is gone it's just politics now, and I can't help but look back and think what actually happened during this show? nothing except him managing his political affairs and FL playing hard to get...that's it. It was like a different show in the beginning.

I actually agree, after he became king the show and their romance changed. Got very political and Yisan turned mean. First half was easily 10/10 for me too

Starting episode 3, I like it but I can't stand the FL, is she going to act like such a bubbly ditz the whole show or is that part of her character arc?
