honestly, its a c-drama, not thai drama, so what that other person over at dramacool wrote, i did not assume, the story here would be entirely what can be shown in Thai dramas (also i am not able to judge that personally, since i never watch a thai drama yet. I only heard, the rape abuse love thing is also very much a thing in dramas in turkey. )

so yeah, i very much doubt, chinese drama and their Communist party policies would ever let rape turned to love sort of storyline went past their censorship.

but you made me even more curious, there ARE bed scenes? as in , they truly have sort of sex? (since the story said, they were married at the beginning, i guess that is ok then with the communist policies?)

sounds to me, this rape torture abusive storyline, is more or less, like in most fanfics, some sort of trope or kink (as we called in 20 years ago) . i mean, as long as its acknowledge as such, i see no harm in enjoying these "toxic" dramas.
