writer has done incredible job with monologues.. so many interpretations..

but indeed "this is funny" "she is still the same".. will go as you laid out.. he is waiting for his Sol to return and also the reason he makes sure he gives her the watch... because without the watch she can't time travel

As far as his death is concerned - either serial killer tracked him and this time SJ is better prepared (problem is Sol can't divulge future so difficult for him to know how he died and hence being prepared is difficult).... that's why i want the second theory to be true that SJ made sure he "died" that night so that Sol could time travel and he must have taken TS's help (we know there is one character in 2023 who has not been disclosed - the guy who knew that Sol will be found in waters upon her return from time travel and takes her to hospital, the guy who bumped into her and her phone fell at concert venue)...

Let's see

1st time round but not the second time round and hence the beauty of monologues that they fit both situations and it is a time loop kind of a thing

1. Original timeline - potential - he crushed on her she never notices, he saved her and distanced himself out of guilt and her breakdown, she def. lost some memories (her own murder attempt), and after all those years of pining he finds her again to realize ... ofcourse we know that Sol never registered SJ's existence (didn't know he stayed next door etc... which we get a confirmation after she goes back to past the 1st time)...given she doesn't remember him but atleast she is alive... monologue fits


2. After 1st time travel - he has interacted with Sol, they def. know each other, he has kissed her once... and then as he grows up he grows up with those memories and Sol who doesn't recognize him... so now the bridge scene still happened and we heard SJ's POV... but now we know that Sol still doesn't remember SJ (because the wheel chair Sol is still the 19 yr Sol who matured and 19 yr Sol has no memories of interacting with SJ)... but monologue still fits


Similarly, second time travel, few more things will change. And with these changes, SJ will realize that what Sol says comes true. He will find the irregular patches of her forgetting him and being with him weird... and with that i think he will pretty much piece together the time travel part. Ditto for TS

let's see if drama shows that because one thing they have done so well is that all of SJ's monologues/dialogues are such that they will fit both scenarios - original timeline when SJ and Sol were not an item and future scenarios when Sol is time traveling...

e.g Bridge scene - assuming they were not a couple in original timeline, you can interpret SJ as him lamenting over a girl who does not remember him.... and yet if you consider post time travel then the same dialogue and expressions work but your interpretation now will be that he is missing what they had in terms of closeness and how she has forgotten him... in both cases she doesn't remember him :P

hmm.. makes sense and probably the only way this supernatural sci fi can work...

the only plot point i am curious about and that may not get addressed is why or how the watch became the time traveling device...unless all of this is some crazy dream, which it is not

Agree agree... accident and death are definitely related. Previously, i was also evaluating potential of SJ himself time traveling and being the one to ring the bell.. but then i realized that in this drama only soul time travels and not the bodies.. so 2 bodies of same person cannot exist in the same/any timeline (e.g. like harry potter 3 where two bodies existed)

I hope drama delivers a full of feels romance. been a long time.

nope.. manager won't kill him.. the one who has motive to kill him is the cab driver serial killer from whom he saved sol and highly likely put him in jail.. that's why Sol wasn't attacked again

otherwise it will be too weird... that someone was trying to kill Sol and then let her go

i don't think anyone is a time traveler except for FL. Theorizing -

1. FL is time traveling but both ML and SML will figure this out
2. Everytime she time travels, all other characters are affected and their memories/lives change. The one whose memories don't change but rather she forgets is Sol herself (19 yr old) and it fits well with original timeline where Sol seems to have lost memories

3. Cab driver is a serial killer and the guy who was trying to kill Sol but SJ saved her in original timeline and highly likely will save her again in this lifeline.

4. Highly likely, in original timeline, serial killer was sent to jail as SJ might have confessed to police or somehow killer was kept at bay so that he can't hurt sol. I am guessing, he is out in 2023 now and the first person he goes to is SJ to seek revenge and kill him in process

5. As SJ would come to know about time travel, he will know that he dies in the future and that triggered time travel. So, he is going to take precaution and this time be better prepared for whoever rang the bell

6. SML and ML will now become friends and group will use knowledge of time travel to overall be better prepared and save each other lives

because she doesn't have memories of what kind of accident happened and she was alive and happy despite being an handicap... but our guy presumably committed suicide... that guilt would be huge knowing or thinking that he died because he was lonely

it could be SJ himself... at some point he will piece it together that Sol is from the future.. he himself may time travel

these guys are same - one who rang the bell, one who bumped into sol at the concert, one who saved her and took to the hospital on her first return from time travel

In this process of time travel, sol may save 3 lives including TS's.. TS either went abroad in the original timeline or died
