1. There is no guarantee china market will officially open and by then the returns would still be significantly high with a huge gap from the international market revenue + opportunity cost
2. Who says china doesn't have VPN.. it can be easily produced internationally.. there is a huge market out there - dramas make money out of rights sold and stuff sold.. all of that can still happen with international release
If Tencent is not releasing the show it is definitely not to keep it for internal audience but because something is stopping them from releasing it internationally even if they want to
can someone detail out what this drama is about? broadly s1 and s2.. synopsis gives just the background i guess.. is it same boy meets girl, falls for her but he is not a nobleman so can't marry.. and if war is coming.. usual displacement.. girl is no more a noblewoman.. man becomes rich for her.. and finally happy together?/

it is easy.. this drama is not being made by Reply directors who know how to do who is the husband well... and i don't think drama is even trying to take that seriously.. its more about her journey to becoming a diva with some romance thrown in.. and a "Fresh" kind of a villain character

i think it is obvious from ep 1 itself who is KH - silhouette of the person waiting at the station, him buying the shoes, him telling his brother that he is not KH so confidently etc etc... and just the serious nature of the personality
