what to say, yeah bad acting, not from all - but it turned comical cause of some, but wont say it was so bad it turned good - it was funny half way through and then it got serious. i really dislike J-dramas/movies going the preachy holier than thou route, which they have a tendency to do, especially in drama's - no matter what goes on, towards the end everyone repents; says sorry, forgives and accepts all. this Jesus like POV is very hypocritical, let alone a farce - as this isn't real life and it even trivializes the victim's pain and trauma - cause with all due respect to saying "sorry" or forgiving - it doesn't wash away what happened. and victim's have to live / fight on the daily, demons in their own psychic just to live seemingly normal lives.
so cause his brother found a conscious when he got sick, doesn't excuse his deplorable action - so Hayama not only forgiving all, but "suddenly over his aversion to human touch" was a bit of a bad joke. and even the bad acting didn't make me laugh -
i really wish people stop using plot lines if they have no real wish to deal with the issue seriously. this is just an insult to people who have been abused and traumatized. having said all this trying to not hold a grudge as this was made in 2007 and i guess the fact they deal with a gay oriented plot and didn't use insulting stereotypes is a step forward - so i guess baby steps π€·ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
on the plus side the dude playing Hayama was such a sweetheart - would write eye-candy but he more a babyface. is that eye-candy π and maybe he was so convincing that i felt his pain and got heated. but still wished this was better - oh well, it is what it is...
had a feeling the end gonna be "happy" totally unrealistic, talk "artistic license" being abused like a MOFO - but everyone else happy so whatever... still calling b.s on Yi Kang surviving those falling rock's like plz π Sol wasn't 5 meters away from her, he was standing over her, about to smash her head in but he get's demolished and she not only doesn't get a scratch on her. she can walk a yr later?!? huh π€·ββοΈ... talk about a reach.
but this was one hell of a view, from start to finish and if Sol wasn't crazy and psychotic - killing everyone and justifying it by him doing the mountains bidding. i would've wanted him to get away with it - cause sorry, those villagers deserved what they got - not their kids. but already mentioned he lost the plot and wasn't sane - but the one's that knowingly destroyed his life, more or less murdering his parents, deserved what they got. cause their action destroyed his psychic/life - so justified.
glad Hyun Jo survived, even though him already on the mountain working is a bit of a reach - rehabilitation takes a Long time after what his body was put through. and i personally didn't want or need romance so i'm more then happy with the end i got. this was fun, wont say perfect. but really fun while it lasted.
ep 4 - well lets hope that preview mean, next ep we Finally get Kiyoi's POV. cause what we got, just makes me wanna hurt the dude, after i finish with Hira. guess will never get the "submissive personality" - as in what is enjoyable in offering to be someone doormat. feel so bad for Koyama - dude shot himself in the foot on his B-Day π€¦ββοΈ but like i wrote in the previous ep - he too sweet, kind and normal for Hira to "notice" him, so he will only ever be a friend. he will never be more to a person like Hira - Kiyoi who's whole attitude screamed jealously - has Nothing to worry about - ironic or what.
your comment seems fairly positive for the most part, i'm confused as to why you rated this really low with everything…
think my reviews makes it clear why i rated it 5.5 - plus if i ended it with "one off" means i wasn't that impressed and will not be rewatching - but i gave prop's where they were well deserved. i don't need to be completely negative, just cause i didn't enjoy/like something - i can appreciate the work put in - maybe that's what confused u π€·ββοΈ hope i cleared up the issue π
if the 1st part zoomed by, cause i was enjoying myself so much - this dragged cause i really disliked Film - who died and made him Queen?!? even reading the description the running theme is Kong has to make himself worthy to win Film - WHY?!?
when u see Kong's POV there r no games - what u see is what u get - interest, attraction, infatuation, curiosity - everything is sweet and innocent. and cause of him i even saw Film through rose colored glasses, his smirk became a smile of returning interest and attraction. here he a total douche that is just playing mind games - cause he likes to tease guys and see how far he can get?!? this cute? sweet? adorable? really? i for one, not a happy camper that Kong after all the games, decided to give Film a chance - cause a person like him that admits to "enjoying the game" gonna get tired of being in a normal relationship ASAP. so idk if this a happy ending even though it's "sold" as one. more a cautionary taleΒ―\_(γ)_/Β―
this was beyond sweet - it was short and yet well acted. the plot - most of the story u get from the description - cause from the "movie" it's just random bumping into each other around the school. yet the attraction, interest and flirtatiousness was very visceral.
from the sec they see each other, u know they into each other - just circling and feeling things out. Kong is the initiator (also this whole movie is more from his POV), while Film is more passive (but as interested) and yet he wants Kong to work for it - which he does, friending him in FB, messaging him, even making a date to meet up, etc... not that Film is playing hard to get - and he is always half step behind Kong. so them admitting to liking each other, let alone holding hands is the perfect conclusion to this (half of the ) romance - and open positive ending if u will to this budding romance (but as the a 2nd half to this on wards to watch Once In Memory : Just found love, and see how this progresses)
donno what to say or where to start, watching this documentary and in between "hearing" about the controversy, seeing the ones involved talking about the drama and the importance of everything - paints everything in a darker light. hard not to wonder what went on behind the scenes at that "workshop" where Paolo and Ian were asked to stay at Severo's place and work on their roles together.
seeing as Severo was a mentor and as Paolo being part of the LGBTQ+ community would look-up-too, respect and trust blindly, to lead him not only in portraying his character to the best of his abilities, but to learn and grow as a novice actor. and then Severo takes advantage of that trust and respect - allegedly. this just sad and depressing to hear - the fact that there r 3 other victim's make's me shudder and i hope they get justice.
so can't rate this - enjoyed it and loved how it was edited - showing us some of the fans at the start, not only the other actors that came in for the audition's and how obvious the chemistry between Paolo and Ian was - of course they were chosen.. sad that someone thought his position gave him the right to missuses the trust put in him, cause of his talent and achievement's...
side note: i heard that they going forward with the 2nd season, just the crew is gonna rewrite the script that was already finished by Severo. when they gonna start shooting etc... left to be seen -
if the previous ep was a hit to the gut, this one was a knockout π ah come on - this just ep 10, we still got 6 more to go, why oh why this needless drama, wasn't floating in a calm, serene space good ?!? guess it won't be a K-drama if u don't cry π
of course Go Bi is heartbroken cause he feels that he was really a burden, that just took and never gave anything back to that coffee shop or Seok, that's why he lost his will to fight. this so freakin sad - hope Seok finds a way to keep his coffee shop in the same place. (having said that, and even though yeah totally get the lose in being "thrown out" - but he got money and can open a similar place somewhere else, no?!? now that he got "rid" of Go Bi - he not going into retirement, right?!? hmmm idk seems much ado about nothingπ€·ββοΈ).
cute and all, but this could've been soooo much more. this plot was tepid at best - the high's weren't that high, no low's other then (me) wanting this plot to actually be more... but it is what it is, so cute (but having watched Kang Han Na in My Roommate Is a Gumiho, i was expecting so much more). so a bit of a let down. oh well
i am gonna be the odd one out - this was bad - the ending was bad! Nao is a spoilt brat, that didn't mature or evolve even a bit throughout this drama, from start to finish she was an immature self-centered child that everyone catered too (at the start it was sweet and cute, as she was sick so she might as well have existed in a time-capsule. but it lost it's charm, cause any character needs to mature and evolve). and Hiroto had to keep running after her figuratively and literally - like come on, that gets old and tiresome sooner rather then later - she didn't deserve a happily ever after and it's for sure not gonna be a bed of roses ending up with a partner like her. i pity Hiroto, who had a tough life from when he was a teen, and sadly it's just gonna get harder with a person like Nao, as his other half. cause she needs constant babying - not fun!
the one that lucked out and dodged a bullet was Saito, who almost married this woman-child and would have to sufferer the consequences throughout his life. this was a cute story until the 9th ep - there is went down hill and Nao didn't do a thing (in my eyes) to redeem herself let alone show that she worthy of Hiroto, or his love. if anything this last 10th ep went to show how much of a spoilt unworthy princess she still is -
oh well fine for a one off and not sorry i watched, cause enjoyed Hiroto his close friends and even his sweetheart of a brother, Ren. they made this drama for me.
all in all cute and the fact this short - miniscule doesn't bother me, rather it be short and to the point then a hot mess and long. this was far from perfect as is. so i'm fine with the length β
side note - Chap gorgeous and i hope to see more of him. Green didn't grow on me, sorry - but good luck to him all the same.

the reason Park Seok sent Go Bi away is cause he knows how territorial and overprotective he is of that coffee shop. here if he thinks people aint treating the place or the coffee with respect, he get's confrontational. what would he do when that landlord came in acting like a mega-douche bulldozed just wanting to get rid of CafΓ© 2Dae and Park Seok?!? he would go ballistic. so Seok did what any caring parent/mentor would do, he found his mentees a new place to work, as he couldn't solve the problem.
of course Go Bi is heartbroken cause he feels that he was really a burden, that just took and never gave anything back to that coffee shop or Seok, that's why he lost his will to fight. this so freakin sad - hope Seok finds a way to keep his coffee shop in the same place. who comes up with these ridiculous plots? oh plz what an utter waste of time - just cause "people" be eating up BL's doesn't mean all we care about is great looking guys with buff bodies, flirting, innuendo's and kisses.. the plot needs to make sense, let alone hold water - this was just bad, with little to no logic used in how it developed - so freakin disappointed π£π
