I don't like seeing people call Rak slow or stupid. He's mild-mannered, soft-spoken and shy, but we've seen him be assertive and stand his ground and know what's in his best interest. AND we see his personality show up more around someone as quiet as him like Chalarm. I think this needs more plot, but I enjoy watching it in the background while eating.

It's not that bad y'all! It's just something to put on TV while eating, don't think about it too hard.
