I literally just planned to binge this drama out of pure boredom and it’s high rating in South Korea.
I really thought it was gonna be like every other historical romance drama, but the amount of political intrigue, heart attack inducing end of the episode scenes, their intense chemistry, the absolutely resilient female lead was something I never expected at all..
The fact that this ended up being the best drama of 2021 for me is so random? 😭 What am I gonna do with only 2 episodes remaining now 😢
The peach ending scene was cute I suppose. They couldn’t have added that brother revolt storyline in the middle of the storyline? That might’ve sped up the drama by a bit and not left people not snoozing through the middle episodes..
The romance also makes absolutely no sense to me... Like why are they even in love? They met once as kids and…
The romance was so forced omg they should’ve just let it progress naturally, but they find out they knew each other when they were kids and then suddenly fell in love immediately as adults 😫 This childhood love line trend in kdramas is beginning to piss me off, it’s like the writers use it to bypass actual romantic development.
I can't believe I waited a whole year for this drama just to get this utter disappointment. With the A-class cast…
To be honest, I agree with you. I really liked the beginning episodes and was willing to look over some of the cringy CGI, but it's been like episode 14 and finally the action has kick started. The most annoying thing about this whole development was that the story follows the same old romantic trope where they knew each other when they were kids and now love each other because they liked their personality when they were like 5. No joke, there has been no change to their personality apparently, only that Ha Ram is all "bad" because he wants to enact revenge. Can we please get a break..
Currently watching episode 10 and her sunbae trying to confess to her, being all nervous and jittery has to be the cutest thing ever. They don't make second leads like him.
This drama was honestly more frustrating to watch than anything. It took what 8 episodes for us to finally see the main lead's face. Then after 3 episodes, he disappears . Then he re-appears with no memories. Then the female lead loses her memory. Then the main lead disappears. He reappears in the ending, It was a lot to take in.
My opinion-romance ruined this drama. Skipped most of it, ending is not good.
Yeah, I honestly believe it would've been better if there was no romance. Even the romance of the second leads was forced. A shame because the first episode started off so great with the car crash and the fake parents. I wish they'd made the drama more horror-esque rather than the melodramatic scene they went for.
