Dragged myself through the first 20 episodes just so I could enjoy the sweet fruit of the last 20 episodes....I'm honestly suprised I didn't drop it. But Duke's character was so charasmatic and intriguing I persisted & watched it thru for him. Overall, Great casting and cinematography. As for plot, it's not bad...there were lot of intellgent movements in play which was fun to watch but at the same time too many unnecessary sideplots dragging out at certain times. Minus for the pacing.
Picked this up again after dropping it in between(somewhere 15 episode +) -->Didn't really enjoy the characters at all the first time around. The last 6 episodes truly saved the show for me..Happy with the decent ending as well. - 7 /10.
Came back just to rewatch Song Zu Er and Liu Yu Ning acting..The microexpressions they both, no actually the whole cast gives *chefs kiss* Missing this drama
Super sweet <3 The acting and cinemography recieves a A++ Usually such dramas are too saccharin for me, but somehow this one sat just right. Soft and warm..and personally I found it inspiring <3 , 10/10 from me.
The acting and action scenses were A++ The plot gets a bit lost and draggy in between, chemistry was decent - you couldn't get lost in ttheir scenes-you could tell they're actors just doing their job (funnily Princess Xiyang and Emperor of Jinxiu's love story were more belivable as a couple XD )
But the ending was epic....Totally made up for it. REWATCHED a few of my favourite scenes as well after it ended ! 9/10
Picked this one up right after love in the clouds (which i loved 10/10)
Right of the bat,this drama started out really confusing-even though it settles only after a good 6-7 episodes...overall still felt slow and draggy with repeated cliche plotlines line amnesias n doubles. I didn't really love the chemistry between the leads and didnt find the background score or ost particlularly engaging either.
I know this is a well loved fan drama and considered a hidden gem- so maybe it just was a miss for me.
Loved how much the hero and heroine loved and respected eachother <3 I actually felt bad for the second lead..ill faed character - very well played. Overall has Less of a rewatch vaue but still a good engaging storyline nonetheless.
Great chemistry A++
But personally I found the plot and pacing kind of slow-Didn't need to be 28 episode drama.
In one sentence this drama is a beautiful Marshmellow like watch - Soft and fluffy.
The kind of love everyone dreams of ❤︎ -> 7.5 /10 ★

Half more to go...Hopefully it gets better.
