first of all I just want to say phupha and his pants stole every scene they were in
I definitely think the 'who is enchante' mystery is a red herring and the real story will be something along the lines of each of the four using Theo in pursuit of their own ulterior motives (which is a twist I did not see coming) and akk acting as his protector so to speak. the story is basically paralleling the little Prince book they read growing up where Theo is the prince and akk is the fox. the whole point of the fox's character is to help the prince see truth.
I love the little Easter eggs like the poster of phupha in the library its all very cute I hope they keep It up.
damn I must be crazy bc I thought this season was miles better than the first. Yeon woo and se hyun have really cute chemistry I definitely bought Hyuk's characters devotion and loyalty to him. yeah it definitely felt rushed at times but I thought the plot this season was more engaging. almost all the things people are complaining about here are the same things they complained about during the first season lol. they're obviously setting up a s3 which I hope has all 3 boys interacting which each other.
sandee hiding behind walls, stalking boys, and scheming between classes is everything to me. the utter disinterest on his face anytime he's forced to do something with the gang like you just know he'd rather be causing chaos. we love an insane and evil boy!
I'm not really feeling the social commentary here. First of all, it's way too on-the-nose. That rap song was so…
'Taking the law into your own hands and hurting people through pre-meditated violence is no better than being exploitative and manipulating the system' that's the entire point. every character in this series is morally grey or grey leaning they know what they're doing is wrong but the government has failed them and pushed them to a point where the only solution in their eyes is to rebel- that's what the scenes of them in class debating are about. i think the political commentary is actually being handled with a lot of nuance. and you have to remember even after all of MLKs peaceful protesting he was still killed and things did not change overnight. throughout history change has always been motivated by acts of rebellion whether we personally think it's morally sound or not.
and the rap song was supposed to be super blunt and angry (taking into consideration we didn't get the entire context due to the subs) most politically charged rap is- its a stream of consciousness.
its so much more than rich = bad and good = poor, that's not what they're trying to say. the fact of the matter is in society the wealthy have all the power and privilege there's no escaping that fact and they're trying to show the gross inequalities and problems that kind of power imbalance creates.
can I just say I love the yok and dan cinderella story? I appreciate that they're not rushing them running into each other it really builds up the anticipation. the way yok smiled at his phone when he saw himself in the painting and then tried to ask Sean if it means anything was so cute, first is so talented the way he portrays all yok's micro expressions.
First is really nibbling in this show so far he has to portray quite a complex level of emotions at times and it comes off as fairly realistic (in the context of the show at least)
Also the twins casually being the sons of a mob boss and the way they repeatedly engage in criminal activity with no one caring sends me like what is going on there I need more
Can I just say that I love Fiat and Leon's dynamic so much because they're essentially the same person- both attention whores, both sleep around, both obsessed with Leo etc etc I could go on lol like they share all the traits they each hate about the other it's perfect
ok but what the fuck was that ending I wanted tin and sea to at least admit they liked each other there was literally no heterosexual explanation for anything they did the entire show like when tin said sea is like music bc every note reminds him of sea like that is not something you say to your platonic heterosexual friend!! I assume the only reason they didn't kiss was bc of the age gap like when I came on here and saw bank was 17 I gasped.
this series was actually so cute I'm genuinely surprised? went in with 0 expectations and was blown away by the chemistry between the two main couples. Tan would look at oil with SO much love and sea and tin were so obsessed with each other I was living. I highly suggest paying $5 if you can to watch the uncut HD subs provided by thaiblfan92's patreon as I'm pretty sure the Youtube version has horrendous subs and edits a lot out. the story isn't anything too extraordinary but its not trying to be anything its not and I think thats where it shines. not perfect but its v feel good hit me right in my make it right feels. hope to see bank and heart in another project they were adorable
so I haven't watched the last couple eps and after reading the comments I don't think I will once Leo and fiat got together I kinda stopped caring lol.
the entire time I watched I kept thinking "3 years of love" would've been better in title and theory. they could've showed type's first year at the hospital and them both adjusting to balance work and love while still dealing with problems like jealousy and long distance (in tharn's case) where it still feels like they'd realistically encounter these issues. idk they could've gone in so many different directions with this story and they picked the laziest one.
that being said gulf definitely had the best performance on the show I love him so much I hope to see him in another bl
