I love how Cheng Yi the chinese actor let his female lead kisses him first mostly in his dramas .. of course he…
You remind me: a big problem in chinese dramas is the amount of it that still uses rape for plot, without really working it out. Like in The Romance of Tiger and Rose, FL is almost rapped even by the ML and then it's just forgotten.
Your point about Crash Landing on You seems like a reach to me, but I agree with your other points (well, about the dramas I've watched). Great article!
Thank you so much for this review because it is so much in alignment with how i felt. I started watching love020…
I'm surprised you didn't like Love O2O and didn't give a chance to YAMG but liked Please Feel At Ease Mr. Ling.... It really shows that in the end it's always a matter of taste
For realll like u can tell this article is not from a neutral point of view they straight up dislike both the…
I mean, I could let go if it was an opinion article, but I came here thinking the person would point out similarities and differences, not point out all the thing they hated about each drama.....
You were so negative about everything omgI think we must recognize the public of each drama first.Love O2O is…
Disagreeing with one more thing: not always your favourite actors will make a drama more watchable. Talking about Yang Yang, it took me two years to finish that trashy Martial Universe. That drama was just such a waste of money.
You Are My Glory is more mature in every aspect. You see more of their work life and struggles. As Qiao Jing Jing didn't really have much of a dilemma, we mostly saw her funny interactions with her friends. On the other hand, some of Yu Tu's struggles are complemented by his friend's struggles, so we see more of it. I like both Jing Jing and Yu Tu for the same reasons I love Wei Wei and Xiao Nai, but Yu Tu can be annoying if you don't try to understand what he's going through. Dilireba's makeup wasn't the problem, it's the filter that feels like a deviantart PSD, turning them all pale with super red or rosy lips. I find it less annoying than the perfect-skin filter from Love O2O tho. The marriage scene was so perfect tho, the filter even complemented it. The directing of YAMG was one big reason why I loved it. There were some scenes when I was literally screaming by how freaking good it was directed and edited (like when Jing Jing calls Yu Tu to play with her). He didn't turn Jing Jing in a pro gamer. There were only one pro gamer in each team, if I'm not mistaken, and the rest were common players. And the amount of gaming is actually a Tencent thing, the book has much less of it. And the drama was 27 episodes long but they cut it into 32 30-min long episodes lol
Yes, FL is very cutesy, but her character is so mature that I don't find her annoying at all, not even her voice. This drama is supposed to be light and fluffy, and it delivers. Loved it
that little girl is such a sly btch 🙄 she keep flirting with her client and meeting him even after being warned by her boss, and then she plays the innocent card saying she didnt get into his relationship, like how tf you didnt, you did and said exactly everything that would make him think of you as a possible lover, to hell with that
Correcting the synopsis: Female lead is a week dork who gets to misunderstand, stab (multiple times) and let the enemies get the only one who protects her through the entire series (multiple times) because she's also an idiot
Seriously, the only good things about this drama is the hot male lead and the outfits
Watched it again... I still hate the mother, but the other things are alright. It's not a great drama, it's like one of that cheap chinese costume dramas - this kind of drama doesnt want and dont try to be great, it's just supposed to be fun - and it certainly does the job. I'm keeping my 8 rating.
"The story of the handsome black rich breath" is that a description of Yang Yang???
It seems like a bad translation? This is a description from hui3r blog:
"Bai Feng Xi (BFX – Bai means white) is dressed in a simple white robe like the snowy moon, praised as having “unsurpassable grace,” also happens to be one who acts and speaks freely, wild like the wind, and is respected by people in the martial arts world (wulin). Hei Feng Xi (HFX – Hei means black) is completely opposite, dressed by the dark moon. He is graceful and honorable, kind and tolerant, the kind of person that the martial arts world admires and submits to. They are highly skilled in martial arts. Although their names sound similar, they are written differently in Chinese. It can be said they are destinated to be together."
Sadly, this series did not do it for it.I could feel the Eternal Love of the ML for the FL.All I could feel from…
Ayyyy I watched this show many times and not even once I thought she was using Ye Hua. Asking some favours is using? He was the one to approach her every time. He was also the one who willing did somethings for her she never asked
I can only think of Moonshine and Valentine now, but you can check MDL's tags
I think we must recognize the public of each drama first.
Love O2O is obviously made for a younger public. All the clichés are much more childish and there are some cringe things here and there. Zheng Shuang's acting really is a turn-off, but I always loved her chemistry with Yang Yang, I was thoroughly convinced of Xiao Nai and Wei Wei's relationship. This drama also shows more of the cute daily life of the leads, such as their friends, gaming and studies, which is more relatable to the younger audience. I like both Wei Wei and Xiao Nai a lot. I like their ideas, actions and personalities. Their interactions always made me have a good laugh.
Btw, one of the reasons why it was and is very popular is because it was one of the first dramas to be basically angst-free.
