But I think some people still like it like that. Like me, I don't necessarily like the 16 episode format, mostly because they drag the plot and add some unnecessary ones. I think the 10, 11 and 12 episode format is needed for some dramas.

I think lack of character development and predictable storyline is mostly a thing for these kind of action series. By the time I was getting into the first episode, I already knew how it will all turn out well, except for the twists along the way. But some people like me, didn't come into this series for any kind of character development, I chose to watch this because I wanted to be entertained and since these type of shows are hard to come by these days even though they are predictable.
