crossgressing has nothing to do with one's gender or sexuallity, it's just a hobby. why would a cisgender heterosexual…
I didn't think the male lead in this drama identified himself as non-binary or gender fluid. As far as I could tell, he identified as a cisgendered heterosexual male. Which is what intrigued me as to why he was cross-dressing. I don't think the drama did a good job of explaining to its audience as to why he was doing that. One of the posters responded to my question saying that cross-dressing is really just another hobby and seemed to imply that cross-dressing has nothing to do with sex assigned at birth, gender identify or sexual orientation.

Very interesting! As someone who has lived in multiple countries and multiple places, I personally do not know any man who identifies themselves as both a cisgendered male as well as a heterosexual male who crossdress. I doubt this "hobby" is very prevalent in that demographic cohort (cisgendered and heterosexual men) that this male lead belongs to. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it. I'm also not judging. To each his own. I was just trying to understand becase like I said I don't associate this activity with this particular cohort and I personally didn't think this drama did a good job with explaining to it's audience.

I have never heard anyone referring to cross dressing as a hobby. When I think of hobbies, I think of activities like painting, writing, hiking, dancing, singing, gaming, stamp collecting, playing sport. I would've never categorized cross dressing as a hobby.
So, I am a little confused. From what I gathered, the ML Hikaru is born a man (Sex = Male, assigned at birth). He also identifies as a man (Gender Identity = Male). He is attracted to and has romantic feelings for the Female Lead. So all indications are that Hikaru is a cisgendered heterosexual man. I do not quite understand then as to why Hikaru is cross-dressing?
new genre "xuanxia" which is a combination of xuanhuan and wuxia
Okay, I just asked ChatGPT what is Xuanxia and this is what it had to say ... Xuanxia is a less common hybrid genre in Chinese fantasy that blends elements of Xuanhuan (mysterious fantasy) and Wuxia (martial heroes) — essentially, it's "mysterious martial heroes."
It says that it's on Viki, but I am not finding it
Agreed! I can't find it either. I think just like Netflix, Viki is also region based, meaning some content may be available in certain Viki regions but not in others.
I'm on episode 9 and I feel so bad for Gao Tu. Such a tragic character. My heart goes out for him. At this point I don't care what happens with any of the other characters, I just want Gao Tu to have a happy ending, although I have a sinking feeling he's headed for a tragic ending. I'll still pray for Gao Tu to have a better ending.
I'm watching "My bias is showing" right now and it has a ridiculously big height difference and it made…
Haha. Yes, I'm going to have to find a way to watch "My Bias is Showing" and "Secret Lover". Unfortunately I do not have a subscription to iQiyi and I can't find any legit platforms to watch it legally here in the US region.
By the way, thank you for your insights on "Desire". I'm so engrossed in that show right now. Loving it!
OMG I just stumbled upon this drama yesterday (Sunday) night and got so massively sucked into it. Before I knew it I had finished watching 3 episodes without even realizing it was WAYYYYY past my bed time. Now I can't wait to go back home and binge a couple of more episodes tonight. It is beyond fascinating. Can't wait!
I see you in many pages and i'm glad you loved it , i hope you can follows the actors too , they are working hard…
Thank you. I'm so glad I found this drama to watch. I have gotten so sucked into it. I binged 3 episodes and lost track of time and realized it was way past my bedtime. Can't wait to get back home and watch the other episodes. I'm beyond hooked. I was hoping there would be more live action dramas and/or movies based on this particular Omegaverse genre but sounds like there is next to nothing out there. This really is kind of the first is what I'm hearing.
