I've only watched 6 episodes but was reading comments and it sounds like a love triangle develops and I don't want to see the two girls lose their close relationship over a man! So I'm waiting to see how it ends lol
Did you watch the Journey of Chong Zi? I at least felt this ending was better than that one. But it could have been so much more 😥

Yeah suddenly they all just appeared on the battlefield?! At least they showed the scene of her telling her brother about the attacks that were going to happen. Ou Ya becoming the new king was also rushed. They definitely could have had 2-3 more episodes to tone it down a bit and give us more details

Funny - I got Twilight vibes a few times. Jacob = Ou Ya and Edward = YY 😂

I enjoyed the acting, particular of ML. He really looked fierce in that final arc!

But they showed the 6 months later first and then after Ou Ya mentioned YY and WZ had disappeared, it flashed back to the scene of what happened with Huarong that day. That 6 months later scene should have never existed if everything was reset. I would have rather seen a scene of 6 months later where everything was back to what it was... like Yi'er not being empress, lan su still beimg alive, etc.

But CY was there because of his mortal tribulation - would he go back to Heavenly Realm after dying his mortal death? Is WY still a phoenix that doesn’t get awakened in her mortal life?

Seriously! How do you go from watching happy father to be waiting for his baby to kick to killing off the pregnant wife. That's too much. Especially after Ou Ya's whole purpose was to get the feather to save his people. What a waste

Every time I think I understand, I have additional questions. I really don't like shows or movies that mess with time and changing the past. They rarely make sense.

My take:
They sent their souls back to CY and WY bodies and lived their mortal lives. The end.

Anytime I start thinking of how to fit in all the other pieces (the egg hatching, changing time, etc) something conflicts so I feel like I should just keep it simple in my head. 😅

I think the main storyline is good. But yes, pace and editing etc leaves you wanting more!
