In ep 6, he was diagnosed with schizoid personality disorder.
I think he was misdiagnosed. Because his father was a psychopath, it was easy to diagnose him with a mental illness. Truth is, he is just a traumatized individual who has managed to cope with defense mechanisms and walls. Subconsciously, he chose not to "feel" anything to avoid feeling pain and sadness when he was young and that shaped him to the person he is. When he agreed to be the fake Baek HeeSong, that was his escape and he recognized that it was his chance to normalcy. He needs this normalcy with the love of his family, so that"s why he told the reporter that he needs to be Baek Hee Song until the end. Many thought he did not know how to feel because he didn't learn it. He knows and he does.
I understand. Out of all three, he needs love the most because he is the most insecure too. He was the child no one wanted. I am excited to see how Ziqiu's character would evolve because I can relate to him the most. I am on Ep 4 with LX's mom coming back. Thank you for sharing!
I am only on Ep 3 and there's something going on with Ziqiu. Does he feel jealous of the closeness of Ling Xiao and Jianjian (sibling rivalry)? It is normal for middle children to feel jealous because they are often neglected or ignored (unintentionally). Or could he feel that Ling Xiao looks at Jianjian differently and he already caught on? He gives the other two an extra look when the two have interaction. I was told in another comment that there is no love triangle between the two brothers and I am just relieved that there isn't.
I am the middle child in our family and they say the middle children are either the most resilient and kindest or they are most stubborn and most likely to take risks. I agree that Ziqiu is resilient because his family situation was the same right from the very beginning. He only had a mother who almost did not care for him too, so when she left, there was not much difference. He had to be resilient and strong right from the start. Unlike the two other kids, they had to go through changes in their family life right in the middle of their childhood and they had to adapt. All three children grew up to be strong but Ziqiu is slightly different from them.
I am on ep 3 and I shed tears on the first two. I tend to binge watch but I need to pace myself or I would finish all the current episodes and end up waiting for the rest. I have not read spoilers and I do not watch the intro and the credits of the episodes to avoid them. I sure hope that Steven has a love interest in the drama.
I agree he has walls up and doesn't understand his own emotions so he thinks he's unfeeling when really he does…
Oh that's ok! I read spoilers but I don't watch the actual spoiler. I am weird like that. Lol. I don't regret reading spoilers, except for that one time with whom the FL ended up with, in Reply 1988.
I agree. Just no deaths, please. I want the accomplice to be put to jail too and not dead. I also want fake Baek HeeSong to be in good terms with his fake parents so Eun Ha can have both sets of grandparents.

Oh they would, in ep 9? I don't watch the previews to avoid spoilers. THAT would be interesting!
Hmmm.. I don't know if I like him to keep the name, Hyun Soo. There's so much stigma with that name. Eun Ha would be bullied too if people would know that truth about her father's identity. There's not a guarantee that people would be as forgiving or tolerant after knowing the truth. He is after all, not completely "innocent" of crimes. I am really curious how the author would wrap up this drama. There's just too many conflicts to be resolved and I am afraid that the ending will not be satisfactory because of loopholes.
It is bugging me. Did he not say "Saranghae" while hugging her in the first episode? I want to go back and rewatch the episodes too, now. Lol!

The parents would let him know how his identity was taken over by a "criminal" and I am curious whether he'd want to take back the name. If the parents all went through that trouble to replace the real BHS, wouldn't it be best to just leave things at that and have the mom and son move really far away from the tyrant father, like you said? I agree with you that the real BHS needs to recover his health. So he can't be too "involved" yet in how the story would unfold or that would make it less believable to the viewers.
I wonder if the parents can be criminally charged for aiding and abetting identity theft by Hyun Soo.
It didn't help that HeeSong didn't say he loves her when Ji Won asked him directly. Ji Won wanted to confirm it herself by hearing it from him but he made a safe answer instead. I can't remember but has he ever told her, he loves her in previous episodes? I think there was one episode but I am not certain.
I think he didn't know the feeling he has ... he can't name it because never felt before or learn it maybe ? But…
Taking the blame for his sister's crime and the obsession on listening to her humming through the walkman indicate that he loves his sister. He just didn't know that it was love because he didn't have a normal childhood.
do you think that accomplice is his son? one who is in coma, baek hee-sung? he had that number first on his phone…
It is hard to tell at this point. The crimes happened 18years ago. If the real Baek Hee Sung is about the same age as Hyun Soo when he got hit, that means that the accomplice was really young when he committed the crimes with Min Seok. Somehow, I am not getting a youthful vibe when showing the accomplice albeit his face in the dark. When his back was turned, he seemed muscular and tall that's why he seemed older to me. I have always suspected the team leader as the accomplice.

If I find that scene, I will let you know :)
