How are we going to have a happy ending for the leads if she is to remain unmarried for life and this drama has…
✨plot development✨
if they stay true to the novel, there'll be a way for her to shed the grand princess title and just live her life with the ML (and even have a kid together!)
Can someone explain the roles of:Tang XiaotianDeng YiChu TangI can’t quite figure out what their roles are.…
TXT / xie yanfang: prime minister, schemer, master manipulator, etc etc deng yi: grand tutor, doesn't care who the emperor is as long as he keeps his power and wealth ^ both are chu zhao's enemies and allies (as she said, nothing is permanent lol) chu tang: chu zhao's cousin/ally
Are the changes between the novel and the drama too obvious, or did they only tweak a few things?
(surprisingly the novel didn't feel too long to me?? i've read it twice now hahaha)
honestly it's not just condensing the plot... it feels like the screenwriter chopped it up as well rip i wanna be optimistic and hope it has to do with the whole rebirth/time travel thing but idk yet
i loved the author's exploration of chu zhao's relationships! they're all so unique. and of course the scheming…
i'll try to condense the details i remember into a few sentences, otherwise it'd be a full character biography lolll he's very driven to gain more power for the xie clan, so that's why throughout the novel he tries to cultivate a closer relationship with a yu (this is helped much by the fact that later on chu zhao leaves the capital and a yu seeks his "help" to keep her in the palace). he's very ruthless too uh there's a conflict in the novel between him + deng yi + chu zhao and that's when we start to really see how manipulative he is. he even targets her mother. above all, he's the true mastermind of the whole rebellion
his meets his "end" when xie yanlai cuts off his arm, and chu zhao pretty much strips him/the xie clan of their power and brands him as a traitor. i would say more but i can't remember much rn HAHA it's a whole big interconnected arc of the final showdown at the end of the novel

hard to say with only 6 episodes out, but they've sadly already altered a few character moments that i like :""") i'm hoping they might happen later but i'll just have to keep watching to find out. they definitely had to compress things to fit in 24 eps
but imo the character relationships we see on screen so far are pretty true to the novel so i don't mind too much! curious if the screenwriters will do a good job until the end
funnily enough novel chu zhao is just as much (if not more) of a xiao xun hater as she is here 😆 she absolutely can't stand that man. she wants him DEAD in the ground
Who is Deng Yi playing chess with? I'm confused. Please can anyone explain? & the second life thing was not…
the kid is sort of like a personification of his subconscious/inner/past self!
and hmm idk if they'll go into the specifics of the rebirth but it looks like she was transported to a parallel universe/timeline where she can choose to take another path to avoid her and her father's death at xiao xun's hands
https://weibo.com/7994692263/R1MnWeufn i'm really looking forward to the next arcs where we move away from the capital... the crew managed to shoot on so many real life locations with really beautiful textures
I just finished watching episode 4. I've been looking at this page since yesterday, and some comments have really…
the VA for first life!chu zhao sounds really young but afterwards the VA sounds more like her!! i feel like she's the same VA for zhuang hanyan, so it didn't break my immersion at all
pretty dudu BTS from the cp photoshoot <3
