xiao xun is xiao yu's first cousin once removed (sort of? imperial bloodlines kinda confuse me whagjw but xiao xun's dad is the previous emperor's "brother")

xie yanlai — xie yanfang = same clan, half-brothers
xiao xun — xie yanfang = competing against each other for the power of the throne (both imperial relatives)
xie yanlai — xiao xun = future husband vs ex-husband (LOL)
