based on that flashback of the first time XH spotted XFF out in public, i think she often went out with a veil? and she was probably new to the capital (only moved there after marrying SYR) so i believe the people there knew her by name but not by face 🤔

it's a very quick ending after that ha... he kills the dai country's general → war is won → he comes home. we get a final shot of XFF waiting by the blossoming wintersweet + XH on horseback on his way to finally reunite with her

there's an ep 40.5 (the double special) where they show us a brief glimpse into their married life ^^ on the 8th year they have a daughter!

it's jarring to me but i tried to ignore it LOL. it works great for some emotional moments though!

truly tragic they decided to cram LJ and WJ's deaths at the end... but yes XH is alive!
