This drama is adapted from anime. So they won't change the storyline for Wangye. Wangye is cool but he has less screentime because of storyline. And Neo Hou choose to be Wangye as he liked this character from the anime.

Wang Ye is really cool ♥️. I can guess why Neo chose this role.
And there is bromance between Wang Ye and Zhu Ge Qing which is wholesome.
Baobao is as hilarious as ever even with Wang Ye. And Zang Chulan is as shameless as ever 🤣

In every recent Xianxia dramas, we got no romance between the leads. They are packed with fighting scenes with the villan. We all know that. Why are you guys so disappointed?! Even worse we got open ending.

So as long as we get our happy ending, we should be happy.

Someone told below that we got more screentime between the leads in this drama compared to the other Xianxia dramas. So we shouldn't be that much upset about the recent eps.
And I do have a feeling that we will get a satisfied ending.
Stop dragging this drama down if you enjoyed the whole journey!
