Yeah he can cut the trailer as he wish but can he cut the role in the drama without changing the script? He can't. The scenes HMH recorded seems pretty interesting and followed the script.
The worst case will be everyone will think it's a female lead drama before watching the show which might drive away audience. We might also get scolding for getting the first billing in a female centric drama(in truth it's not).

His childhood part might be included in between of any of these 3 arcs as it will be shown as a past.

And it's okay. Liking Hou Minghao will make kiwis disliking all the other actors/actresses who tried to bully him in any means.

YZ used HMH to convince MangoTV to Broadcast this drama. At that time NZ wasn't decided as a FL. Only HMH signed the contract. After NZ was confirmed, YZ wrote 3000 words paragraph to convince MangoTV to let her play as a female lead as they didn't want her.
So MangoTV won't tolerate this kind of trailer in their investment promotion for which YZ cut a different version with enough cuts of HMH to please the investors+ MangoTV. Even the plot summary mentioned LJL in 4/5 lines while RSB in 1 line.

GJM was the director and screentime, so he could manipulate and change the script during filming. But YZ is just a producer, so he isn't manipulating the script rn. LJL is involved in every scene. So he can't cut his part randomly in the drama.

I won't comment on that yet as I believe LJL won't be a love brain like others.

I don't think he will give up all of his power+wealth based on the extravagant outfit he wore while filming that scene from titanic.

And the key point was his screentime can't be cut out. We can find fault of the storyline when it airs.

The Double was initially a female centric drama but it's not. ML has more screentime than FL based on the script and ML is connected with the whole story. So YZ can't delete his part easily.

Tbh it won't matter if we give any attention or not as YZ won't care about our protest on international platform. So we should promote it more as it got zero attention from today's trailer while protesting on weibo.

The trailer was edited out badly but that doesn't mean the drama will be bad. Again we should encourage others to watch his drama without discouraging. It's okay to scold them but we shouldn't scold the drama before airing. Afterall it's the hard work of Hou Minghao.

YZ plans to release it in the chinese new year of 2026. So it's around Jan-Feb. As it's a pure historical drama without special effects, it doesn't require much time for post production.

At least there was no offline drama during the filming of TUS. We were 2nd billing and we never caused any trouble like others did.
The director was also sincere.
