Commuting to School Series: On the Way to School

Watching the interactions among the characters with different traits (introverted, deep, rational, delusional...) is quite refreshing. This movie is youthful and also gives light to different personalities.
Morikawa Aoi delivered her expressions and emotions really well. I love it when actors can connect to you just by the expressions on their face even without dialogues. To that, I'd say Nakagawa Taishi did well too.
It's better to watch the first movie before this since you might get confused about the other characters.
***if you don't want to see me compare the two movies, you may stop at this point***
If you watched the two movies already, I think we can all agree that this one is far better than the first.
The first had a potential but it just wasn't developed and constructed well plus I had a major disconnection with the FL because of her lack of expressions. I didn't also feel the chemistry. It was just so-so.
The only reason I said it's better to watch the first before this one is to avoid confusion. Else, I actually wouldn't recommend it.
This second movie definitely relieved me from the first.

The interactions between the female lead and the black devil always gives me butterflies in my stomach ^^ It's an old cliché but they still give me that excitement! Perhaps it's because of their personalities. The female lead is not the typical innocent naive girl. She's honest and doesn't beat around the bush when it comes to what she feels. Her monologues are quite funny. Lol. Meanwhile, although the black devil is eccentrict, he's not really that evil. I mean you know those movies/dramas where they have this gangsterish male lead who sometimes is just too much? Then the female lead just continues to be too naive.. UGH! I hate those.
Anyway, I enjoyed watching this. That white prince makes me cringe though. I guess he's just too 'flower boy' for me.
He may be an extra but I'd also like to thank Yuta's character for the laughs. Haha

A bummer
It only has a good start. The plot is nothing special but I was hoping that it will turn out good anyway. Sadly, it's disappointing how it turned out to be too predictable it's almost boring. I kept going anyway since I'm almost half way I thought it would be a waste to drop it. It was really a bummer for me. The fun start was wasted. Also, Kento was doing well but the female lead somehow lacks emotions particularly those heavy/deep emotions thus the feelings she's trying to portray just can't reach you.
There are dramas/movies that have plain plots or that are not that great but still watchable. But this is just...idk...

It's a usual story but you'll definitely have fun watching it! Lol. I think I laughed in every episode. The female character's imaginations and expressions are just superb! HAHAHA! 😂 I love her fam too~ they're adorable ^^
And, the lead characters are lovely. I love how even if they have opposite personalities, there was no unnecessary push and pull. You'll love seeing them together. ^^ They're just natural.
Again, the story was nothing new but if I have to extract something out of this, well you see, different situations can really make a person into something--even turning 180 degrees from who you really are. It sucks when that happens. You know what they say, it will either make you or break you.
Anyway, I enjoyed watching. It was fun!
If you're looking for a sign on whether to watch it or not, here it is. Go watch it! 😁

This is not a typical romance or lovey dovey story. It's a story which may be twisted and fucked up but it may be a reality one may never know or one may never bring to light. Also, it has mature contents (not to the max of seeing someone completely naked, but has a lot of intimate scenes).
It's frustrating and pitiful-- a roller coaster of mostly heavy emotions, but I love the character development.
I'm surprised by the two leads' age when they filmed that, especially Yoshimoto Miyu. She did great!
ps. I like the ending. It gives you a sense of relief if you think about it.
pps. Even if Dori Sakurada isn't your type, you might find yourself searching for more. He isn't just an actor ;)

IT'S A GEM!
THE BEST. WORTH IT!I like how the motives of the characters were not directly or immediately shown. Indeed a mystery.
Plot, acting, overall STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!
I love the FC! I love her gloomy and innocent look. Plus she's honest, mature, and no beating around the bush. I hate it when FCs are too childish or naive and always acting dumb or stupid. Mugi Kadowaki did great! She's adorable.
I love the slow but strong development between the MC and FC. Not much the romance-yyy type but you'll definitely feel the love and connection!
If you're a fairytale person, you might not like the ending. BUT it is actually already good even when you don't watch Todome no Parallel. You still might want to watch it though for some extended feels, fun and what ifs, and satisfaction you might be looking for ;) It has 10 EPs but shorter duration. I'd say give it a go.
All the characters are so eye-candy! <3 I definitely want more.
This is now my favorite JDrama >< (Hana Yori Dango, you will always have a special place in my heart ^^)
Side note: It's the nature of the drama but it kinda felt tiring at some point to keep going back to the past. Lol.

2. The girl is too naive it's annoying.
3. This is like-- you cut that part from a normal drama where two become couple and do smut. That's it. Just longer.
4. Recommended IF you're looking for a buffer or just want some quick romance. No intro or what not.
5. No, it's not darker than 50 shades but definitely mature content.
6. Dori Sakurada is eye-candy.

Just by reading the plot, you may already have a thought on how it's going to end. But still, who knows right? Anyway, I watched with my heart prepared.
It's not a very new story but the unexpected turn of events as you go along made the drama more interesting and intriguing.
I liked how the supporting characters (family members, friends,...) weren't simply accessories. Each of them have their own traits which are not far from real life. Some of them you will appreciate. Some of them you will understand.
I love strong female lead (I'm not really a fan of too-naive-and-innocent-lead). The male lead reminds me of EXO's Suho. Haha.
Now going on to that part. Everything was fine but the ending! It was just ??? I think tragic stories even have a better ending despite being tragic!
I'm not telling the details but you may stop here if you don't want to know why I think the ending was a disappointment.
If others call it open-ended, then I gotta say that was the worst open-ended drama I've watched. It was just TOO OPEN it will give you nothing. Nothing despite everything that happened. Again, everything was fine but the ending! What a bummer.
