This turned out to be a drama I enjoyed so much. The parents are real people, real parents. They turned out to be so adorable. And the ML's character, he stuck with her strongly and sweetly, right or wrong. The brother falling in love with her also , a common trope, was handled perfectly. All the actors were just great. Def stick with this one, it turned out be so enjoyable. Ofc the long running pregnancy deception can make you feel frustrated, but oth, it drives the story and the main couple's togetherness . I put spoiler tag just in case some one doesn't want to know anything in this post.

I read this is based on historical facts, and that's what happened. That's why I chose not to watch.. that would be too frustrating. I just hoped they would change it up so I checked back to see before I watched.

I am in the middle of ep 26 now, and I have begun to think/hope that preview for ep 29 may be a ploy.. I do really hope so..

I started out thinking it was going to be fluff, but it's much more than that. It does have some comedy, actually not much to my way of thinking, def. romance, but also some seriously awesome fight scenes w/incredible flight action.. and some moments that wrenched my heart like it hasn't been wrenched in a long time. The acting is better than I expected for the FL and all do a great job, also esp. Merxat Yalkun,

I don't care anything for his past roles and how he doesn't get the girl:) That doesn't affect me.. In this story, I think the actor has done a stunning job of acting.. he has had my complete sympathy.. This is a tragic story for him and of course it would get reactions, it's meant to. But also because it's being done so well, the writing, the pacing and the actors.. I do hope he finds a way to be the person he always was.

I was shocked, I thought his character could go either way.. feeling bitter and become a villain, or be an insider and help unearth the corruption in the palace.. maybe he'll be both? I have to say he's had my complete sympathy, I didn't even fault him too much for not telling her.. It was wrong absolutely, but come on, he's been told he's nothing , he and his family and the woman he loves can all die if he doesn't fall in line and be a puppet and keep the princess happy. That's quite a burden and he so suddenly found out his life would never belong to him again. He's not only distraught over his lost love, but he can't go on with his life like others and find someone else or something else to get over it. I also think he thinks he's staying true to QingHong in his own way. But he lost me with this kind of cruelty.

Well, that is what I meant, he was worried about raising suspicion with the princess when he tried to go to the restaurant that night. But don't get me wrong, he should have sent word to her when he knew he was going to marry, and why.

I agree with all you said, I just didn't write it all out or talk about that as much because I see so much hate for him making that decision that's what had my attention the most

I just can't hate WY.. honestly, if you're told your whole family and the person you love and want to marry will be killed, what's the real point of saying 'too bad I want to marry her anyway'.. cause you know, she'll be DEAD. And he should have told her, but she was gone for over a month after the wedding , he's closely watched, and the night that was set up I think he was afraid of displeasing the princess and make her suspicious of Qinghong and put her in danger..What I would hope for is he would work with Wulin to expose and exterminate the Princess's grandfather who looks to me to be the third in the villain Ghost group. I also think WY will develop feelings for his wife.. but I wonder about her fate as we see her fainting also in the credit clips. Just my thoughts.

I do think he is terrified of displeasing the princess or her grandfather.. he has been told not only his family will be killed but also Qinghong

Have seen all of those.. Moon Embracing the Sun was my first Asian Drama.. My aunt turned me on to it and asked me to try watching that one.. I cried every ep and felt dehydrated after that drama. haha.. I asked her for more recommendations tho, with less angst for me personally.:) I have been hooked ever since, prob around 6 years now..

I understand, but that's why I put it under " spoiler".. I don't mind being spoiled, but I totally get why people don't like it. I think you shouldn't read the comments with spoiler tags:) Since you go to great effort to avoid it.. :)
