I love the original American movie. The main differences I found: -The siblings are twins -The sister isnt dating the bully -Added real life themes of misogyny in a male dominated workplace, and college bribery -More people found out about his the secret. In the original it was only his best friend that knew -Added more kdrama cliches like a car accident, fainting, catching someone before a bike hits them -We meet grandparents -The scene where he reads his letter in court is episode 5 while in the American version its at the end of the movie
I know Kdramas are supposed to be fantasy but still, 15 years is INSANEEEEE!! I'd kill myself by the 5th year if no one saved me. Even the Tom Hanks Castaway movie is 4 years. It should have been 5 years max! I also wish this showed the ptsd and negative effects island had on her. She adjusted to modern life really fast.
So that psycho bitch really did all this because she didn't remember her from middle school?! Also pissed that the other people at the birthday party didnt get punished.
At one point I started skipping all the scenes and only watched for Sooji and Sejoo. They were way more interesting than the main couple. Not even Red Velvet Joy can carry this boring show on her back.
Decent show. Funny at times but in reality I could never everrr be with an emotionally constipated man like this. The FL's personality is so bubbly but when shes with ML she becomes quiet and barely smiles. I could NEVER! Honestly the cat was my favorite character on this show.
All I hear is how much this show is a must watch and I saw it has 100k+ viewers. Im on ep 4 and I cant stand the FL. Shes too prissy and a diva. I hope this gets better and I can feel all the hype everyone has for this show. So far Im not feeling it...
Does anyone else not like Suho? If this was real life I dont expect this relationship to last. Hes too jealous and controlling. He basically stalked Jugyeong on her blind date, and he went out of the way to stalk her again when she was at the mall with Seojun who just asked her out to get a present for his sister. Also the time she was sick on the bus. He was really about to wake her up just because he couldnt stand her sleeping on Seojun. All the times he pops up out of nowhere and drags her away is creepy. Jugyeong is not your property. Is this supposed to be cute, because it's not! He really is the tiring type!
Is it me or did anyone else feel the reunion between Moka and Ki ho was really anticlimatic?? I thought it would be more dramatic and emotional. If I was her I'd be crying on the floor. They hugged and that was it.
Im no doctor but arnt you not supposed to drink if youre on antidepressants? Isnt that unsafe?? Honestly all the sloppy drunk scenes got old and stopped being funny.
This show was much more emotional than I thought it would be. Honestly the male lead is my dream man. As someone with an insecure personality and suffered from depression my mind would be spiraling telling myself "I dont deserve his love", "I will ruin him", "he can find someone better", but the ML still kept constantly loving her, insisting that he still loved her, made her laugh, and comforted her during her dark moments. Are men like this even real because I need one??!!
Ep 9 is when the timeskip to adulthood happens. My only tiff is that I wish there was more push and pull with Sanha and Juwon getting together! He iced her out for 10 years!! I wanted to see him suffer a bit to get her love. I wanted a cliche jealousy scene of him seeing her on a date with someone else!
Every adult in this show besides the dads are fucking crazy!! Whether its the old ajummas that cant stop gossiping and judging the kids for having a different upbringing, or San Ha's bitch ass mom! The amount of times I wanted to smack the mom. How dare you say San Ha should ask for forgiveness! How can you put all the blame on a child!!!! Im on episode 6 and I really hope theres no redemption arc for their relationship. The mom is toxic and theres nothing that could get me to find peace with her!!
