I think a lot of it has to do with the slower pacing... if you dont like that then it feels like nothing is happening to you etc so then people will say it's boring.
I personally really like the slower pacing and us just observing their lives. I like the main couple (I'm interested in all the couples though) and Tong's longing is palpable to me.

I couldn't agree more! I rewatched the scene so many times seriously for the reactions and emotions. The second Paper pulls away you can see Tong already wanting to cry. Just such an emotional scene that was really well done.

Yeah like siMONa said I'm pretty sure it's a flashback. I felt confused at first too, but then it did that like whiteout (quintessential flashback effect lol) and Fong was back in his bed... they really should have done that effect for the start of it too to enforce the idea of a flashback or something
Edit* I did a rewatch and they did do that effect at the start of it...I must have missed it... if you rewatch that scene it's clearer that its a flashback :)

I feel like that is kinda their relationship... they seem to avoid that they both obviously have feelings for each other. Like la la la la so they kinda avoid actually talking about things that brings that unspoken thing happening. (kinda like in the very first episode right away Tong was trying to talk about his feelings for Paper and he was like stop stop talking about that stop!--- even though I think that scene was supposed to be a time jump and then after the scene we go back to the start.. I think? thats how I interrupted it at least)

I really like it so far personally. I don't mind the slower pace and I'm enjoying the chemistry between the couples. This episode though... the last part.. what a rollercoaster of emotion haha
