Can someone explain this to me what is kim hee woo profession? It says prosecutor but he is doing interrogations…
Yep, others have commented. Koreans follow inquisitorial system. Dramas I'd recommend for further depictions of Korean prosecutors would be Stranger season 1 and 2 (Bae Doona & Cho Seung Woo) and Diary of A Prosecutors (Lee Sun Kyun & Jung Ryeo Won). Both dramas are masterpieces. The former is legal criminal thriller, the latter is slice of life comedy.
My fav couple tooooo!! This drama is joining the ranks of my all time fav family dramas which include Five Enough,…
I've watched Glorious Day too! lol I rated it just a little bit lower than what I mentioned above but still enjoyed it. Be My Dream family is a daily drama (not weekend drama) so production value may not be on par but I thoroughly enjoy its stories and characters actings. Very recommended :))
This is definitely one of the best family dramas around, been searching for one after Five Enough, My Father is Strange and Be My Dream family. It has nice of multiple love lines (even for support characters!), nice subplots, perfect amount of dramas, conflicts and tear-jerking scenes (I straight up cried few times), happy and comedic scenes and the ending episodes leaves you with lingering warm and fuzzy feelings. Great songs and soundtracks. I also need to add that how well-written this drama and particularly the dialogues are, kudos to the writer! Yang Hee Seung, the same writer that penned Familiar Wife and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. No wonder.
P.S. My favorite couple is JS-DH, both of them so cute together, cute chemistry. Da Hee is such a sweet but unique character and Jae Seok complements her in many ways! Such a delight watching their scenes.
All caught up. I came across this drama when someone randomly RT'd that riot Samantha Rachel scene on my TL, been binging this since lol. No wonder the high rating, even tho they make use of a very cliched trope but still make it so enjoyable and somehow feel refreshing. Great use of visual effects, great chemistry from both main and second couples, many fluffs and comedic moments and Kim Se Jeong's stellar performance! First time watching her drama and really enjoy her acting. She's so expressive!! On par with Emma Stone imo. Anyway, Glad I picked this and can't wait for next episode.
Those who are at episode 27, I don't know about you, but I am enjoying this train wreck.
lol same. many commenters can't stomach the old couple's affairs and lies and the damages they cause to all but that's the essence of this drama's title and I'm here for the train wreck that follows.
I hate to admit it, but I also found her scenes with Gun nice. Until last episode I felt like throwing up everytime…
Agree with you wholeheartedly, I love Park Ha Na. Been rooting for CG-SR ship since day 1 but the whole deal of her being villain this whole time, lying without shame and conscience, being discriminate and abusive to the children makes her character so hateable! but I'm looking forward to how writers going to redeem her. She needs to sincerely apologize to our main couple as a start, for all the sufferings she put them through. P.S. CG is soo sweet. The way he melts Sa Ra's cold heart like that :3
I'm all for these warm fuzzy feelings of them dating again, of funny awkwardness like they never dated at all in the past, especially that one particular scene when the title song's playing on, ah so sweet. Still something's missing and I feel it's from Yeon Su's part, Ung all opens up, his past childhood trauma the one he never tells anybody else, his confession, his straightforwardness, all but we don't get much from Yeon Su yet. Well hope next 2 episodes, we'll get to see more of her.
Episode 11's ending and epilogue got me all in tears. The start and mid of the episode feel a bit slow, wasn't expecting rush of emotions at the end. All makes sense now, Ung's fear and hesitations, please next episode more healing T,T
Episode 9, we're back to romcom, fun episode in contrast to melo mood last couple ones. Just Friend. We all know, they both know that's not how normal friends go lol.
Poverty can really mess with your head, your pride, how it can affect your relationships, how you perceive people and vice versa. Koreans has terms for this capitalist reality, Hell Joseon. Common real people struggles. Have sympathy for past Yeon Su and all her decisions, we should be proud of how she apparently overcomes her harsh reality, has successful career and paid off their debts (not a light feat!!). Regard the present as a healing drama for Yeon Su and Woong too. Long detour for them both, now reunited. I love all the human drama in this, heartrending at some points, then we get romcom at some, sombre tone and comedy blended in. not just main leads but all supporting charas. Can't wait for next episode!!
Episode 8 is a piece of art. The cinematography is just breathtaking, verdant autumn color palettes and scenic shots, I can re-watch frame by frame many times. Story and plots wise, I love the connection they make between past and present. Deja Vu indeed. Feels like poetry.
I'm 2 episodes in and will be binging this right away but need to say that production value of this drama is just breathtaking. OSTs, vibes, cinematography, pleasing color palettes, kudos to director and crews. Main leads' chemistry, as petty and all squabbling as they are right now, is off charts, you see it in their present time longing gazes. As expected of Kim Da Mi and Choi Woo Sik. Made the right decision picking this up. Needed something simple and light and heartwarming.
Enjoying this so far. The main leads, Oh Jung Se and Jeon Hye Jin as expected of real veterans, fleshing out so great performances! Someone must have mentioned this too but this drama is also a reunion of Lee Sang Woo and Hwang-u Seul Hye from Glorious Day (2014). Seul Hye has her own distinct voice and way of speaking (intonations?/inflections?), never changes, love it.
One of the best K-Dramas this year. Truly female led. What a ride watching Inspector Koo and team vs K and her…
I admit beforehand I'm rooting for K but I guess in the final fight, the 'good side' should win, finally. But the way Koo Kyung Yi outsmarting K by disguising as Yong Suk is not that brilliant tbh, K should have seen that, I mean I saw it right after the 'acid' attack. Well. There are definitely rooms for season 2; ambiguity on Santa's identity, K's potential jailbreak (shown in that last ending animation :p). Yong Suk and Hyeon Tae's plot is basically finished so maybe they can introduce new antagonists with Koo and K fighting them in their own ways (while foiling each other again lol)!
One of the best K-Dramas this year. Truly female led. What a ride watching Inspector Koo and team vs K and her accomplice(s). Fun game/manhwa/animation scene inserts. Captivating soundtracks and songs. Hope there will be season 2, with Kim Hye Joon!
Episode 10, things begin to make sense, where the story all begins. So Santa and K know each other, exactly how, can't wait for the reveal. It's hinted in the preview that Santa likes (or liked) K? Doubt it, must be something else, might be they shared some history, truth or incident in the past (Koo's late husband's case? K's mysterious childhood, 1 week missing in the forest? Just mere school classmates?) My heart breaks for Keon Uk tho, why Dae Ho?? guy needed a break :c Next week the climax, can't wait for the final Koo-K showdown!
But I don’t think mirmi is actually blood related to them. She is just raised by the grandma, they think of…
Mirim is daughter of Cha Gun and Cha Yeon Shil's late sister, so Mirim and Jun O is related by marriage (Cha Yeon Shil x Park Soo Chul) not by blood. So cousin-in-laws? Is this a thing? Anyway, this could become a drama in itself when they're discovered, apparently Koreans don't like 'in-laws' thing when it comes to partners or possibility of marriage
