I am so in love with the book and it's been quite a while since I've been this excited about a book - I am only on chapter 60, but there's already so many parts I'm keeping my fingers crossed they decided to include in the drama and will make it through censorship. But I know no matter what Chu Wanning will constantly break my heart.
This is shot so cinematically! And the emotions are so rich and real. Also I'm just so happy to see Hong Seung Hee have a main role in a full length drama - she looks stunning in this too.
Ok, I really wasn’t prepared for Li Chang’s character the first episode, he’s just quite a lot. But after episode 2 I have to say I got used to his character and I’ve started to really really like him, he’s such an overexcited, naïve puppy, it’s kind of hilarious. I’m still trying to figure out Muren, but I’m liking him as well. The side couple...they’re just weird and uncomfortable to me at the moment. Anyway this is undoubtedly a silly drama, but it’s also fun and so I’m enjoying it.
I was just going to browse the first chapter to get an idea of where the story starts, to see if I might want to check this drama out, but now I'm 9 chapters in and dont want to put the book down. Oh no.
I know most of the time we watch gender bend dramas and think "seriously? How are they fooling anyone!?" But I honestly think Lee Se Jin is going to be a gorgeous and believable girl. Anyway, I'm excited!
When I started watching this the rating was at an 8.3 and that made me a little hesitant, but look at it now!!! It's so deserving of an 8.8 (and if the ending doesn't ruin it, higher)
I loved the idea of who they revealed as the killer in episode 4. I'm actually a little annoyed that was a fake out! I got so so excited about it. I'm just personally worried that the certain character is so "good" they're going to get boring pretty quickly. I hope not, but their character so far is my least favourite. It's not the performance, I just don't enjoy characters that are so constantly kind and nice, they're so bland and unnecessary to me. Characters like Moochi who are dark and their morals are all over the place, are interesting. Maybe they'll evolve the character over the course of the drama to be a bit darker, or they wont and it'll be a long 20 episodes for me. But of course this is all just a personal opinion, obviously most people wont agree with me.
I've been a little unsure of this drama up until now, but episode 4 completely changed that for me. I really felt their chemistry, found some moments very funny and loved how Nubsib reacted in a particular situation. It's the first episode I've thoroughly enjoyed start to finish, definitely my favourite episode so far. I'm very excited to see what's to come now moving forward.
I almost dropped this drama, because whilst episode 1 was terrifying and brilliant I felt in comparison that episode 2 was such a let down , I decided that I'd give episodes 3 and 4 a go before I drop it and I'm definitely not dropping it now. It got to the point where everything felt obvious and laid out for the viewer and that made me feel bored with the drama, but nope, there was indeed a twist (a twist most people expected, but one that should make this drama interesting) so I'm all in now. I need episode 5 subs!
Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi in a rom com together...I never imagined them reuniting on screen like this, but I am beyond excited. I love the concept of a couple who break up and vow to never see each other again, but then are forced back into each others lives.
Episode 8 (whilst a little problematic because of how behind Korea is when it comes to lgbt rights and this isn't the best rep to combat that way of thinking) I have to say the episode was at the same time so comedically creative and smart. They literally shot a mini rom com kdrama. It had all the cliched lines, the cliched theme park date, the cliched overacting, the cliched rain scene etc! And it felt like it was shot differently to how Vincenzo usually is, they directed it like they would a rom com. It poked fun at the cliches we all love, because they seem so out of place in a drama like Vincenzo...it was hilarious. I just really appreciate how creative that was. Bravo Vincenzo!
I'm only watching Kang Min Hyuk for the first time in 'How To Be Thirty' currently (and even though they're presenting his character as a dishonest jerk at the moment) I can't help but just love him. He's so charismatic and charming that I'm fearing potential second lead syndrome. But I've never seen a Lee Min Ki drama so maybe he'll be even more likeable.
I just really love that when WKX and ZZS met neither of them were being completely their true selves. WKX presented himself as nothing but flirtatious and fun, whereas ZZS was very serious and gloomy, but slowly as they spend more time together WKS is showing that he can be very serious and dark and ZZS is showing he can be fun and flirty - they're meeting in the middle. I love how they are proving to be so similar the more of themselves they reveal to one another. Im just loving this drama, especially their ever changing dynamic!
I forgot what to expect in episode 9. I went from my cheeks hurting from smiling too much, to now being a sobbing mess at that ending. Kim Soo Hyun is just such an outstanding actor. I am incapable of handling his tears.
Sad that the people translating the manhwa for free have now dropped it, but I of course understand. It is now getting an official translation on manta.net, which is a site you pay a subscription for. I was very invested, but I'm too poor at the moment. Guess I'll have to wait for the drama to see how this adorable story ends.
I love the concept of a couple who break up and vow to never see each other again, but then are forced back into each others lives.
