Yep TJC has National champion title in ballroom/latin dance before his 20s but later switched to idol. DW supposedly was in modern dance but stopped due to injury. I'm surprised he looks a bit stiff. LYX, TJC and DW(i think) majored in dance in uni. The only one here with no dance back ground from young is ChengYi. I feel dancers have advantage in costume dramas cos they can carry themselves better and do fight scenes. But that being said, CYs swordplay in MLC was amazing.
What happens to Ye Qing Yu and Pian Ran in the novel? I was so into them
YQY in the drama was the merging of 2 of YXWs elder brothers in the novel. The one Pianran loved was the quiet and scholarly(?) 2nd bro. I remembered he stole from the family for the sake pf PR and they put the blame on TTJ. YXWs eldest bro was the general. Pianran also didn't work for TTJ. Nian BaiYus elder sister was the one in PianRans role in the novel. The siblings worked for TTJ and looked after YXW in Jing Guo. So in a way, the YQY and PR in the drama don't really exist in the novel.
No wonder i couldn't find the physical books on sale. I will probably start the novel after the drama if i need more details. Im surprised they can actually make a drama out of an uncompleted novel! π±

Yes i was about to say we don't hear of him after TTEOTM. But personally i find that the other actors also had better looks or more memorable roles than YQY.
