Only recently I picked up C-Dramas again because of the rave reviews over the xianxia shows. I grew up watching…
I thought they could do a bit less blood spitting. After the 100th time, it loses its dramatic effect.

So I caved and I'm now rewatching TTEOTM. For some reason I just smiled all throughout the first episode.
That episode had 2 of my fav characters DG and hostage prince. What's not to like? Hahaha

Yah i agree with Micha Untamed is xianxia.
Wuxia is more of motals and action. "Wu" refers to martial arts. Sects are usually "wulin menpai".
Whereas in Untamed, the clans are referred as "xian jia" or "xian men". There is less focus on martial arts and more on supernatural/spells.

Yah seems like Thailand is quite a big market for c celebrities. They always go there for promo.
I'm from Singapore and there are korean celebrities coming quite often. Pity I dont follow kdramas.

🤣🤣I wonder if the script writers have a check list of such things. Like if they included less than 10 cliches, they can't make it into a drama.
Why are these ridiculous things in every xianxia/wuxia?? Modern dramas are better in comparison.
