Yeah it must be really bad now. I came across an analysis by someone in the industry. He says that the platforms are losing a lot of money by investing millions into dramas that use the same actors and have repeated storylines. There is very little export value because they cannot compete with foreign productions which are subjected to much fewer restrictions. Honestly i was really surprised a few years back when i stumbled upon the untamed and realised cn did bl novels and drama cds as well. My joy was shortlived when they started the clampdown and added all these regulations which didnt make sense to me.
New changes to drama regulations! They are removing the 40 episode limit and the 1 year wait for sequels. Too late for lyf. π€£ They will also categorise the severity of how artistes have broken the law or involved in scandals. So it looks like some dramas will have a chance of airing soon. πlhf? Quite a number of other changes. No mention of bl/dangai (when will i see gu yun.. π’) but its good news they are relaxing the rules!
