yes the conversation between gyeol and eunae and her father is very critical at this point . [there were going to become family] . eunae was gonna tell him as soon as she found out ,, just delayed by her father for few hrs .... her father though is a bit guilty and he needs to explain and apologize ,, he also came just the right time to save him and he was gonna take gyeols father out of the car too if he had the time . he also found out about gyeol and the accident some days ago . actually he is guilty about letting daechi free .
jihyun did an excellent job in s1 . eunchae is doing the same so far in s2 . after s1 maybe lot of us thought we get the romance with the 2 leads in s2 .... and we were kind of excited .... but the FL had to be changed . maybe this is the only thing that we will miss from s1 .
daechi as murderer , should have gone to jail for 12 yrs at least ... by s.korean law . [if g.sik told the truth] ... driving drunk hit a car on purpose and caused a death and an injured kid . in s.korea criminal cases are deleted after 25 yrs . there are some exceptions though like first degree murder for example . the accident case also was closed at that time with g.sik as the driver who cause the accident by mistake ...... only 5 yrs jail ....

another case daechi can be charged at present time , is stealing money from the company !!! embezzlement ..... the prison time depends on the amount of money . for example , for an amount of over 5 billion won [ 3530000 $] , the penalty is prison for over 5 yrs ... in daechi s case i believe the amount is huge ... so the prison will be way more .!!! also these charges , except prison , they have a great amount of won to pay extra as a penalty !!!!!
now the kdrama way of daechi s punishment ... if grandpa is alive and kicking till the end ... then hopefully daechi s is fired from the company / kicked out of the house / deleted from the family registry / etc ...
