I think this is the most logical way, and once again, judging by the summary "they find themselves walking paths meant for the other" it makes better sense than Seorin dying.

Y'all I feel like Seorin is not going to die... Something tells me that when the twins start working together, Seorin will take her REAL mother and go into hiding so she's protected. Perhaps they will even fake both of their deaths so Hwa Yeong doesn't do anything.
