She accepted because she wanted to break the "inevitable" fate where Ji Ling sacrifices himself to end the drought
Each loop lasted approximately three days (from checking into Yanbi Inn to the drought's end). She relived this period tens or even hundreds of times, experiencing the same tragedies repeatedly while her body accumulated damage with each reset ──────────────── The time loop was not a shared experience. Lu Wuyi was the only person who retained memories across loops because she actively chose to reverse time using Ji Kuai's power.
Wu Wangyan, Ji Ling, Wu Shiguang, and everyone else lived through one version of events per-loop, then were completely reset when Lu Wuyi restarted time. They had no awareness of previous loops.
Think of Lu Wuyi as the only "player" in a game, everyone else were "NPCs" who reset each time without knowing.
So where does the time loop start? And what is the reason for the time loop? And what can make the time loop repeat…
My theory is that Ji Ling died, Ji Shi appeared and gave Lu Wuyi the opportunity to turn back time and change what happened, but she doesn't know what she has to do so she's stuck in the loop trying to figure it out.
