I've only watched maybe one C-drama with this actor playing the ML, and I wasn't even excited to see him paired with WCR. But his acting here is so good
his character is so charismatic , funny and likeable and the actor is doing great
I'm not sure if it's the writing andd directing here are especially good or the actor is just good
because if he's really this good, I might just go watch his past work that I've been missing out on

ml's friend is doing a little too much
he has crossed the line for me, he should be thrown in jail

but romance/love between the main leads has been nothing but perfect so far

i am little disappointed that the writers are going for a romantic angel b/w the assasin dude and ye li
i am more than aware ye li doesn't give 2 shits about him
still he could have been just an aid to her rather than viewing her romantically

i really hate how the side even main characters here turn on you so quickly
like one "mistake" and everything you did for them is erased
-the old man chief or whatever
-hari's grandmother
- even the restaurent owner in earlier eps not serving food to the ml
- the mayor's assistant ( that one is understandable thats her job)
- now hari ( maybe they will resolve it quicker)
- and what's the 2ml's attitude with ml always on his high horse as if
the ml wronged him somehow

oh that makes things a lot more complicated
so will the other guy keep going after the female lead in the present day aswell?
is there a love triangle

what did the other guy mean by "your brother"
are the ml and him related somehow aswell?
or are the subs just bad?

who was the actor before the swap and for what reason are they doing it?

i am aware of people reassuring that there will not be a heavy triangle based on the webtoon
but from all the recent kdramas and the screenwriters past works
it's very hard to trust
i have already dropped so many dramas recently with everything going for them but ruined by a love triange

so she might have been studying medicine just for that since then

cdramas tend to do that a lot so i would not pay much attention to that

"Okay I will just clear some relationships and politics for people for whom its a little confusing. And I think it will make things easier for all us of as well. Because the drama and novel are not similar, we cannot refer to these from the novel. I am writing this as per my understanding. So if anyone thinks differently, or finds a mistake, do clear it.

The Royal Dynasty is Mo Dynasty. The current kid emperor, our ML, and SML are all cousins, with the same surname, hence I will assume that their fathers/grandfathers were biological brothers. This makes ML and SML both princes but not direct heirs of the throne.
8 years back ML's biological elder brother was the one who lead soldiers on the orders of Late Emperor (father of current king), but the royal decree has been burnt by Marquis Muyang, hence convicting ML's brother and others and hence their execution. At that time, ML was under Duke Hua, hence not convicted.

The palace has different factions:
1.One is Marquis Muyang (villain). This faction is allied with Empress Dowager. Popular people here- Zhang Hengyuan, Li Changfu (burnt to death) and Lv Cheng/Lv Boying (buried). Marquis Muyang lead to downfall of ML's family and Lishan academy, and their killings, making him and his allied forces the prime target of both ML and FL. But maybe again MAYBE its on Empress Dowager's orders.
2.The next faction is of Murong Shen, and it seems they are allied or atleast closer to the Emperor. Popular person here- Gongshu Yang. Till now they have not been doing anything evil.
3. There is another one- Duke Hua, he has military power. He was ML's superior initially. But he never spoke in the court, until episode 5 where he supported ML for the post.

Marquis Muyang's faction continuously at odds with Murong Shen's faction.

The emperor and his mother are at odds about ruling the empire. It seems Empress Dowager has a lot of power, and fears giving everything away to her son, while the Emperor is trying to gain power. Hence he has re-appointed ML to find evidence against Marquis Muyang (his mother's faction) and destroy him.
Empress Dowager was initially just a concubine, before becoming Empress Dowager. She and Yeli's mother were close friends. Both of them studied together in Lishan Academy. In her childhood, Yeli used to visit Empress Dowager, and had a good relationship with her. Yeli's mother was the daughter of the headmaster of Lishan. Lishan was a academy for children and scholars, for education and literary purposes. Lishan initially had a lot of power, famous ministers, queens, powerful people were its alumni. But after Late Emperor died 8 years back, Lishan did not support the current Queen Dowager's rise to power. That is why Queen Dowager's allied forces lead it in isolation, arrests, false accusations and execution"

I'm confused as to why they created that shot like that. No human being can survive a fall like that. They could have easily made the fall not that deep.
