Yeah, i agree—that is the reason i love about dark toxic romance, it hits hardest when it’s intense, messy, and emotionally exhausting but still impossible to stop watching.

Lu Feng wasn't drunk in the novel when he brought the other guy home. Or was my translation wrong 😭😭

Their names are written with different Chinese characters, but they sound almost identical. The romanization ends up being exactly the same. In the movie it was Xiao Chen and Yi Chen.

Someone explained this on twitter:
"Big Cheng Yichen's (Xiaochen) name is 程亦辰 while little Cheng Yichen's name is 程亦晨. The last syllable of their name makes a big difference. Same pronunciation, different spelling"

Same 😭 I love black flag characters because they make the story way more intense and entertaining. CBLs especially don’t hold back when it comes to messy, obsessive, morally questionable men. The drama, the toxicity, the chaos… that’s the appeal for me.

And honestly Lu Feng is still unmatched. Fan Xiao is horrible too, but Lu Feng remains the king of psychological damage in my eyes so far😭he kept hurting my baby Xiao Chen.

I do hope we get a remake of Addicted and also Uncontrollable Love (which is also written by the same author of A round trip to love).

Worse, the series is censored compared to the novel😭😭

I knew there was no way to put all that in 12 episodes.

In my almost 19 years of reading bl novels, excluding dark toxic characters in manga and manhwa BL, i honestly think Lu Feng is one of the worst toxic characters in Chinese BL novels. Nobody really comes close for me so far… maybe Mo Ran from The Husky and His White Cat Shizun, because that man was another level of terrifying too 😭
