its insane to me how Gwansik's mom switched up. when she rescued the couple from Busan, i genuinely thought she was an okay mom. but when she gaslit Aesun and forced her to break up with Gwansik, and following their marriage being a complete bitch just bcus she got the short end of the stick with the mother in law, i thought that was so bullshit, indeed its a sick generational trauma. saying you went through something horrible by marrying into this family yet treating your friends daughter the same horrible way you were treated. it defies common sense to me
