She acted that way, becauae she really was akward. Imagine youre finding yourself slowly getting interested to someone and then you become close until one day you found something so shocking as someone had to call that person "mom/dad". Yes, she shouldve ask, but who would ask directly if she heard him call him dad, lol. Plus, him being so okay with it and even guiding him, I would be surprise too. Also, she really didnt have to ask because you forgot, HE SUYE had always old patients, because of cancer. So she didnt think a child would be there for treatment and then randomly call him dad outta nowhere hahahaha I think shes slowly falling in love and that reaction and misunderstanding plus her friends advice made her react that way. Of course this is my opinion, I just want you to look the other way.
