Apparently, antisemitism is alive and well, even in watching Asian dramas. Shame on all those who support Hamas, Hezbollah and all the other groups who want genocide of the Jews. These terrorists hate everyone who don't ascribe to their version of Islam, which even includes hating other Muslims, especially Muslims who just want to live life peacefully.

Would look forward to a second season if there was one, hint, hint. :)

Thank you for the explanation. In the US, we have a somewhat related term, trophy wife, which is a woman who gives her husband status because he married a beauty, but one who is generally thought of as not particularly smart or accomplished.

Seems like an extaroridnarily stupid, not to mention lazy, question, when the plot of the drama relies on the ML saying something considered sexist. "Flower bouquets" sounds a lot more like a compliment than an insult to me.

How about a drama based on male-bashing? That would be original and maybe open a few eyes about denigrating men which is just as bad as denigrating women.

This is the first drama I've seen the FL in, and I was impressed by her ability to convey emotions through her expressions. The ML and FL were a good match both in character and in acting together.

She's a keeper, that's for sure! The FIL was a wise man to agree with her. :)

Normal Americans know obesity is unhealthy and not something to celebrate. Please, don't confuse the "woke"/pc crowd with the rest of us. Only irrational people think like that, and there's too many of those in the media nowadays.

They're both worth watching so it's good. :)

I finally watched JOL and didn't like it as much as MHH.

I finally watched Joy of Life 1, after watching MHH, and I preferred the latter to the former. Am hoping for a second seaon for this drama. I watched the spin-off movie which was fun and hopefully a filler while they produce S2.

Yet another curiously low rating on MDL. I guess there weren't enough idol actors prancing around. Of course, ratings aren't objective, and that's fair enough. It's just a shame to see an interesting, more unusual plot with plenty of good acting, even if by lesser known actors, not get a better rating.

Sounds like an interesting story, whether or not a romance is involved. However, there's a married couple and hopefully they love each other. That counts as romantic for me. :)

But the father and the son are related by blood which makes it incest if physical relationships with the same woman or women occur.

Incest is about sexual relationships between family members, whether or not directly related by blood, e.g., husband with wife's sister, father with daughter-in-law. King Herod marrying his brother's wife and lusting after his brother's daughter from the same wife is a good example of what not to seek in relationships. The blood-related instances involve inbreeding that damages the offspring. The non-blood-related instances damage the family relationships.

Happily, I had no problem with any of the actors. They all were convincing in their roles. Typecasting isn't fun for actors, it limits their chances at roles and at showing the full range of their acting capabilities. It also didn't bother me that the ML was an actual adult (although an overly "married" one).

As to the story, sadly, editing must've removed large sections so that main players just disappeared without even a hint as to what happened to them. However, despite my usual avoidance of dramas involving harems which is a disgusting practice, I was drawn to watch this one for some reason. It is an interesting story which shows that life certainly isn't fair, no matter how much power/status one has.
