Gawin is very good in flirty scenes, he has already proven this in several series (e.g. Not me, Enchanté, Oops! Mr. Superstar and even in DBK).

I don't think this was the reason. They knew this since the very beginning, and chose Mike for the role. There are tons of OST songs by actors who can't sing at all (I won't mention their names), but with today's studio technology (autotune, etc.) it is not even noticeable. There are a few songs by Mike on youtube, and they are not that bad at all.

I think we will never know the true reason. They communicated that during the initial workshops something went wrong, and they made this decision, and even Krist and Mike agreed. But this was the official statement.... we cannot know that this is the real reason.
I'm an absolute Gawin fan, but at the same time, I also adore Mike, he is a good actor and a nice guy! And yes, in the original trailer, their pairing with Krist was just great. I don't feel the same betweeen Krist/Gawin, and no, I'm not a hater.
Otherwise, I noticed on this board, that almost everyone likes both Mike and Gawin. That's why this recasting is unpleasant.
Most of us wanted Gawin to get a proper role in a NEW drama, that he would have deserved.
And Mike would have deserved the lead role in Be My Favorite just the same.
After all these complications, I'm really looking forward to the series, but I definitely don't want to see any hate coments towards any of the involved actors (Krist, Gawin, Mike).

Maybe they recast Gawin, some new shooting, and air the series on 26 May 2024...

The trailer may be out this week-end, or next week, there are no strict rules for trailer releases.

I'm sorry if you see me as a "hater". What I wrote are parly facts: Gawin has no new roles in 2023, and he is not promoted either as a singer (I think we can agree he is exceptionally good). Yes, he might not be liked by Mike fans that he took over the role in BMF, as they wanted to see Mike in a lead role. About lack of chemistry: this is just a private opinion, which, by the way, is shared by quite a few people. This does not rule out that I will be positively disappointed in the series. I just wish Gawin the success he deserves.

I gave up my hopes. His career is a disaster. Apart from NOT ME he got mediocre-awful acting projects with one dimensional characters. Despite being one of (if not) the best singers in GMM, his singer career is not managed at all. His upcoming show Be my favorite is controversial, a replacement role with a partner he has no chemistry at all. Apart from this, he has NO single roles in 2023, which is a shame.

No, you misunderstood me. I have nothing against Krist, he is a good guy. And I'm one of the (few?) people, who is bored to see the same pairings over and over again. That's why I haven't even wached Never let me go, Moonlight Chicken etc., because the pairs simply lost the freshness of their chemistry for me. But I agree with you, the quality of the series will be decisive for me, even if it does not always coincide with popularity and success.

I'm not that optimistic about the success of this series. We know the reasons. First, the cast change. And seeing the interactions between Krist and Gawin, I must admit there is zero chemistry. It is one of the biggest miscast by GMMTV, Second, many BL fans are not enthusiastic at all that Krist is starring a BL again. As a big fan of Gawin, I'm not very excited either, and not because I have any problems with Krist. Their pairing is weird, and I'm correct to the one who commented: "I hope there won't be any kissing scenes".
Furthermore, the story itself didn't really arouse my interest either.
Sorry, it's just an opinion, and maybe there is a slight possibility to change it when the series airs. Let's wait, let's hope, let's see!

I managed to watch the Saturday episodes of Love Syndrome, Chains of Heart and Bed friend together within 30 minutes! We always complain that Korean BLs are too short, in my opinion, Thai BLs are unnecessarily long.

Yes, it's so obvious, and somehow undertandable. I don't know how casting directors work for these dramas, but Marc and Chaaim have zero chemistry, the kiss scene was painful to watch.
