Totally agree with your Chi Pan comment! Honestly besides the main couple, Chi Pan was always to treat to see on the scene even when he was being a spoiled brat. I wish we got the wedding scene for the main couple too, even San Niang got hers (albeit super short). Yeah, YinZhang definitely didn't make the smartest life choices (girl, really two times in a row?!) so I was glad when the show finally made her wise up.

I'm still watching but I just gotta say that I've been loving Gu Sheng's outfits so far! They're like the perfect blend of modern and traditional clothing. Super pretty

Xiyang's actions against ML made me feel bad for him as a fellow older sibling always looking out for their younger sibling. That's a different type of betrayal that really hits deep. But it was understandable as she was a sheltered princess who's had everything handed to her and nobody was ever plotting assassinations against her like they were against the ML. ML "allowing" her to go to Jinxiu with her "true love" forced her to wake up to the bitter reality of her situation and to take off her rose colored glasses.

the son saw it on the pet camera and reported it to the police which is how they caught her. i think she was expecting the son to show up in order to finish her revenge
