Why iqiyi release this suddenly? Shouldnt they release the premier date first to get the hype? I reserved this drama and dont even get a notification from iqiyi. Saw on tiktok that it's released and came here to rant. Is it because iqiyi expect this drama wont blow up? I'm new to cdrama I dont know how things work for the channel

This is definitely a hidden gem. I wonder why the rating is only 1.9% at korea. After a long time lost in cdrama world I'm finally back on kdrama. I dumped so many kdrama lately but this one stick. Just a light drama with good pace and the humor is actually very good not cringey (side eye the uncanny counter s2)

I saw the characters introduction video yesterday and was in awe. I love the costumes and the music fit in. I keep watching it throughout the day. But today it was blocked by hunan tv. I already miss them. I regret not download it

Chemistry between leads does not lies on dialogues or action. I think it relies more on acting. Ever heard romance drama and people said the leads dont have chemistry? That's what I feel after they got out of the cave. This is not romance gendre so I think it's not the director forte. They tried to convey their feelings by talking. Of course this is just my opinion. I'm sorry if u feel offended. I will continue watching though. No hates

I actually feels the same. I think they have chemistry in the cave but after that it just not there (at least for me). I dont root for them now I dont root for anybody. Just want to enjoy wu geng's journey

So one complaint amidst all the good things. Why when they spit blood the sound affect sounded like someone pouring water. It's so weird. They should learn from tteotm coz they spit blood every episode lol

This is the first time I saw her and I love her already. She is not mad pretty but pretty enough to be FL. Her acting is so good that in some scenes I was in awe. I recently dropped sword and fairy because although I like the actress I cannot stand the acting.

Up to ep 8

-eventhough they stuck in the cave for all time the story doesnt feel rush or too lag. It's a perfect amount to keep me interested.

-the story pace is so good and I love how they peel every characters layers.

-the cgi is not the best but bearable. Ill continue watching

Is it me or ren jia lun is so skinny in this drama?

I think they want a buff actor and the fighting scenes look physically demanding. I do agree they look more like brothers. Well, I tried to think that ancient people got married early some at 16 years old.

Up to episode 3 and this is my review

-the cgi looks unfinised and it kinda hurts my eyes with the tone
-the plot is very good so far that I can ignore the cgi
- I didnt expect to see peter ho but he is a guest role and ML's father. It's a nice surprised.

To those who doubtful to start the drama give it a chance at least till ep 3 because that's where the real plot starts. And bear with the cgi in the beginning.

I love ren jia lun and I have no problem with his kissing scenes. He has great chemistry with bailu and tan songyun in previous dramas despite the so-called-fake-kiss-scenes. Just proved that he is a great actor. I'll continue watching then.

Man looks like I need to subscribe to another streaming platform. But I'll do it when this drama air. It just annoys me lol

I finished watching and this is my review

This is the first 2024 drama that I managed to finish this year without dropping. For me this drama is not for everyone. There's like 0 romance so if u looking for this gendre it's not for you. It's a very light bromance and they save it to the last (between LB and QQZ). I really like an investigation drama with no love line and this is for me. If u guys enjoy this try to watch under the skin.

I admit there are some parts that I fast forward because it's too slow and too much talking. Towards the end I think the flashbacks of LB and QQZ is too long and unneccasary.

What I really love about this drama is they tied everything at the end. Everything is for some reasons and it make sense.

About acting, I've watched 4 ding yuxi projects and while he is good, I dont think he is memorable. There always parts when I realised oh he is acting. I guess it's just his style. I'm looking forward to his next drama with esther yu.

Oh lastly, this is my first time watching miles wei and for the life of me, I tried to remember who he reminds me of. After few eps it clicked to me. He resembles ha seokjin. His face and his acting.

In a way it's a happy ending

I'm so glad they didnt drag the chen shi not chen shi part. And thank god it's not chen shi coz I will hate the show (it doesnt make sense that it's CS anyway). We are officially on the emotional ride for the rest of the eps. Please dont make it a tragedy!

The villain looks like chen shi when he took off his mask? We dont see it clearly but that's definitely chen shi (or his brother)
