The way I see it, and I've been saying this since episode 2-3 I guess, it's because the way Jane's character is written. He's a true professional by the book, not getting involved with anyone on the job, a true leader to his trainees. Whereas Judy is his contrast so that's why we have the two stories. Judy's acting on her feelings for Bahmee, whereas Jane's staying true to himself. They literally gave him a couple of feelings last episode and I think it's because it's the end of the internship. If these two kiss while Ryan's still an intern, I'll come back to delete my comment. 😁
