It's obvious that the little ones (Zouey, Captain, First and Porsche) in the series are studying in a high-class private school where you're either rich or on a scholarship (Puen and I think Keen, too) . Using English lines was a way for the writer to show the difference between the people's background, similarly to boarding schools around the world where kids speak English in non-English speaking countries.
Also, I thought of the usage of English as a gesture to the international audience but that could be just me.
