Yeah...that guy is part of that one story "When you embarrass yourself so much that you need to hide your face in your drink" kind of a situations. In my defense, I was caught so off guard and unfortunately, I cannot hide my facial expressions at all. People read me like a book.

Right! And also, Thai is a tonal language. It's unbelievably cute when they always stress the last vowel and cannot pronounce certain consonants mid words. 😁 Makes me smile every time I hear a Thai person speaks English. But I think my most cultural shock was when I heard a Thai person speaks German. It sounded so smooth and poetical, I was in awe, jaw on the floor for good 5 minutes.

I'll be the bad cop here and say that I think only natives are appalled by the actors speaking in English. I find it super cute and hilarious with their different accents. Particularly Frist is like a chirping Dualingo bird in my ears. 😁 And last but not least, I always have a massive respect for people that speak at least one foreign language. I could never joke with anyone making mistakes or having an accent. Edit: Ah, I forgot that them speaking English is a grand gesture to international fans , which I appreciate immensely.
