I read the book and if we go by the novel that this show is based on then no, goyoung and gyuho never meet each other again, the lantern thing is kind of goyoung just making peace with himself and in his mind letting go of that relationship/gyuho.

Honestly Tonkla did what he had to do especially looking how corrupted thai police is... With each murder it was pretty much justified why he did it, all the dudes were scumbags, his abusive father, Title who killed his brother and Great who helped Title cover it up...
