I've just started watching Love Design, and I'm loving it so far.

I loved Poisonous Love, but the show really drained me emotionally, especially those final 3 episodes. So I've decided to follow it up with something a bit more cute and light-hearted.

As awful as the parents are, I doubt that even they're dumb enough to believe that this was going to be a foolproof plan. One of these days, they're going to have to let Prem back out into the world (assuming she doesn't commit suicide). As soon as she returns to work at the hospital, I'm sure it will take less than 5 minutes before someone says that Pat is alive and recovering.

Prem's parents are wealthy, but I highly doubt that they have enough money to bribe all of the doctors, nurses, and orderlies at the hospital to stay silent about Pat's fate.

I loved the 2nd half of the finale, and I'm very glad that Prem and Pat got their happy ending, but the 1st half of the finale was so just so badly executed. I suspect that the writers wanted us (the viewers) to also believe that Pat was dead, and this was sadly the best thing that they could come up with.

Are we seriously supposed to believe that Tan, Bow, Sita, Ticha, and Pat's parents were just going to sit back and let Prem believe that Pat was dead just because Prem's abusive bigoted parents ordered them to?

And assuming that Pat hadn't been comatose for that whole time, what exactly were they telling her at the hospital? If anyone had told Pat any hurtful lies about why Prem wasn't visiting, then Pat would have flatlined again, and this time, Sita wouldn't have been able to bring her back to life.

All the 6 of them had to do was visit Prem's family residence. Even if the parents refused to let them into the house, they all could have just screamed out "Pat's alive". I'm pretty sure that Prem could have heard them from the 2nd floor of the house. And if the parents called the police, claiming that the 6 of them were trespassing, then they'd have to explain why they're holding their fully grown adult daughter hostage in their home, and gaslighting her into believing that her lover is dead.

Unfortunately, I got the horrible sense that he'd been beating his wife for many years, perhaps even before Prem was born. Having a gay daughter is simply his newest "excuse" to be abusive.

In episode 9, I believe that Prem feared that her dad might end up KILLING her mom, and that that was the primary reason why Prem sacrificed her relationship with the love of her life.

The best chance for Nam to redeem herself could have been in the finale. I can see Nam visiting Pat in the hospital, apologizing for being an awful person, and asking if there's anything she can do to help. Pat, of course, would tearfully beg Nam to find some sneaky way to bring Prem there, or to just somehow let Prem know that she survived.

Of the 4 villains, Nam was the only one who didn't seem like she was beyond repair. She just needed to get psychiatric help. Nam was far more deserving of a redemption arc than Prem's sadistic parents.
