I'm not sure for the ML subordinate. It felt so weird. He was so surprised to see him entering in the room. Then why would he be surprised if he knew the ML was a spy in the ring family. I'm suspecting the ML is getting back some memories but they're biased. I might be wrong but the 2 scenes (in the hall and in the room) were very weird and unclear for me.
