This is Wang Youshou first drama i watched. His acting is very impressive; therefore, he got another follower too. I think he looks the best in this drama, especially the hairdo. It made him looked so handsomely, like an ancestral god.

She learned medical skills and martial art so mannerism is not part of thd training; she wasn't training to be a a princess. I saw in most Chinese dramas, ladies who came from martial art family don't have mannerism. For example like the drama Wrong Carriage, Right Groom, female came family of martial art and she didnt have mannerism. ML was suppose to marry a merchant background lady. ML questioned why FL didn't behave like a wealthy lady.
I rewatched her drama "I am a pet from Dali Temple"; even though it was her first lead drama, her acting was very good and she was so pretty in that drama. I think she's too skinny now. I hope she's not pressure to be thin.

Agree, the only issue i have in this drama is making her the General to the Emperor. She doesn't look strong to be a General who conquered many territories.
Everybody has their own taste in dramas. We can't convince people to like a particular drama. I am not a professional drama critic, so I don't have specific expectations for how a drama should unfold or how actors should perform. However, I can tell if an actor's performance is stiff or if the drama is cringeworthy to watch. I watch dramas to pass the time and alleviate boredom. I really enjoy this particular drama because of the lead actors. They complement each other in this production. I only like Youshou with Irene in this drama. I haven't watched or am not interested in any of Youshou's other dramas. Same with Irene, I like her in that drama "The Best of You in My MInd" because I like both the leads. I tried her other mordern dramas but I couldn't finished.
